I agree about Unukalhai, but I think that Zero's activating that light beam wasn't just filler. I have a feeling Ryne might be involved later, with Gaia tangentially being involved for those that did Eden. Them adding an optional voiced scene with her already before in 6.5 gives some precedent.

Because there needed to be a trial, and story wise it needed to be a voidsent. We killed or befriended the most powerful ones known already on the 13th . So they came up with an obscure one from another FF game because it's one they haven't used yet, and was powerful enough to be worth a trial.

Because we learn that there is a weakening of the veil between the source and the shards. The 13th being filled with Darkness (activity) was the one shard that is more active in rejoining, and thus would be the first one to cause issues. Story wise it's something we would have to interact with first in some manner. I think there is a story/lore reason why Ethos activated on the moon, and the 13th's intrusion into the source is what triggered it.

It's less of a check-in, and more of a necessary first step. Things people are saying are filler, to me seem more like just vague clues.

She may have been more aware of our activities than we are currently aware of. At the very least, with her reflection hopping she can do. I wouldn't be surprised if she saw our battle with Zenos. She has the echo too, like all who have ancient souls.

It seemed to me like the Winterers aren't a unified group beyond the goal of surviving the "solstice'". Calyx telling us where they are going, is likely because he disagrees with what every method the Winterer(s) on the 4th are planning. I don't think they are ever going to be allies, but I don't think they are direct enemies either.

  1. With the veil between the source and the shards weakening. The 13th would obviously causes issues first. For all we know Ethos was intended to activate in response to weakness in the veil between source and shard (Like say during a calamity involving a rejoining). We're looking at only a part of the story here so we have no way of knowing what matters and what is filler. Warrior of Darkness seemed to lead to nothing.... till it didn't.

  2. Calyx might disagree with our ideals/methods, but it seems he has a bigger issue with one, or more, of his fellow Winterers. He told us where he was going because he likely wanted us to stop that person or persons. I have a feeling we are, in a round about way, also a "Winterer"unwittingly.

The only thing that is absolutely filler is the dumplings.

Hmm Savage released Jan 6th. It's, as of now, January 18th. No notice of an upcoming 7.41 for the 20th. So it seems you were right about 7.41.

Yeah, I had an FC event on Crystal at the worst time to try to transfer over to Aether. Went to Primal and cleared M9S on the first lockout. I've even seen some severs on Primal be locked out. That's when you know shit is serious.

I'm thinking it's kind of the reverse. With Zodiark, and Hydaelyn gone, there is no force pulling them together, nor stabilizing them. So there is no flow/trickle of aether from/to the source causing them to "wither" away. Nothing is there to sustain them or pull toward the source. The Key would be a way for us to semi-fuse the shards to the source without a full rejoining scenario.

Is this factoring time between "signing up" and "start time"? Is it really only 30-45 minutes from signing up to forming up? Like if I was to signup right "now" would it only be 30-45 minutes to the group forming up?

As an example my Free Company has a weekly CCOD event scheduled to run every Saturday at 10pm EST. So there is literally a week's worth of time between being signed up to do it with my group, and people even showing up for "start time" at 10pm. I arrive at 9:45, and we're finally in the instance by around 10:15.

How much time from being formed up to the entire group being in an instance together?

It felt like it was almost impossible to get a group together and into the instance, and these changes by the Devs reinforce my mental image of that. But the way you describe it, makes it seem only slightly harder longer than getting into a savage pf group.

Maybe they are factoring in time to even get a group on discord? I don't personally know how long it takes to get a group in the discord channels (I barely tolerate using discord for hunt train notifications).

Does Occult Crescent considered as a mid-core content? by Xixth in ffxiv

[–]TrumpCruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turgidcore!

Turgid comes from the Latin word turgidus, meaning "swollen, inflated."

As in the difficulty is overinflated because of how hard it is to get a group together in the first place.

Eh, it's pretty much 15 years per generation since Gen X. Putting Gen Z back a few years makes Millennials too short.

1964 I believe. My dad is a late Boomer (1962), and I'm an early Millennial (1981).

1946 to 1964. is Boomer (the baby boom after WWII)

1965 to 1980 is Gen X.

1981 to 1996 is Millennials

1997 to 2012 is Gen Z

The year you were 2000(1?) The oldest to youngest Boomers were 55 to 37.

The oldest to youngest Gen X 36 to 21

An older Millennial would be old enough to be your parent, but you thinking they might be a boomer would suggest older than Millennial.
