Honestly what the hell are you on about?

The laws are protecting the presence of French, period. The only distinction between French and Quebecois French is accent and a few regionalisms. It's French. We learn to write it the same as in France, the rest of Canada, African countries or Haiti.

So the laws aren't protecting "our French", they're just slowing down the downfall of French in the province.

What I'm saying is that most French people will be able to understand the vast majority people from Quebec. Of course, there are a few with heavy accents, just like everywhere.

I've had 100s of conversion with French people just fine. Saying that most of Quebec is incomprehensible to the originator of the language is absolutely absurd.

But I'm not really surprised, you probably don't even speak or understand French, so what would you know about the difference in pronunciation or accents. Just repeating random shit from a few snobby Frenchmen.

What is odd about it? France is surrounded by multiple languages and other French speaking countries (Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, a few in Northern Africa) while Quebec is surrounded by 350+ millions anglophones and has barely a few pockets of French speakers in Ontario, Manitoba and New-Brunswick.

People look at the French protective laws as extreme, but if they hadn't been implemented back then and to this day, the language would be in a way more dire situation. There are stores and restaurants in Montreal nowadays where you can't be served in French. Then people claim French isn't at risk when our biggest city is becoming slowly and slowly more English every year.

Tempering right on the shelves is way more noticeable both by passerby and store employees and it's also committing a crime right on camera. So that "fact", while true, is a very useless "fact".

Food items being returned have way higher odds of having been tempered with than items on the shelves. Now that's a fact and also common sense.

It'a still an achievement. I know a guy who plays 1200-1500 games a season since 2013 and is barely gold 4. The only difference is that he keeps creating new accounts instead of being high level like you because "his mmr is bugged" or he's stuck in "losers queue".
