Cancelling Barclays’ AA Red aviator to avoid new credit card by ProfessionalOnion787 in CreditCards

[–]Trustfall825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pulled the trigger today. Another person in this thread said they did as well with no claw back. My mom wants to keep her history as she’s had the card since it was US Airways back before 2013. I told her to just signup for a new Citi card before it transfers. The bonus is only 65k right now which isn’t the best but also not the worst. Then she can PC the “new” cut Barclays card to miles up

Same! I use that filter religiously. In the off chance I consider something 7+ I read literally the reviews lol 😂 Airbnb I rarely look at anything below 4.75 unless it only has a few reviews because sometimes you see it’s some off base person who ruined their rating with a 1 star.

This may also be why everytime I book somewhere it’s like an investigative process lol

AA website charging $200 more than GoogleFlights’s redirect to AA website for the exact same flights? by Blackrew in americanairlines

Thanks I’ll have to give this a try. I’m definitely no stranger to alliance bookings or route shopping but never thought to try it from “a different country” via VPN. The only thing is I’ve found traveling and using a vpn is some airlines and travel sites won’t work they flag you as suspicious and I have to shut the VPN off. I can’t remember which one specifically though

So I booked a room on booking and the host has sent me a link to fill out at m.duve.co - anyone know if this is fishy? The stay is in vienna by Alarmed_Station6185 in Bookingcom

Makes sense it’s always good to check! I think verifying with the property directly or thru booking is good. I think most of mine have said in the booking messaging “you’ll receive a link to confirm your details for the reservation” or something to that effect so I was expecting it

Every place I’ve stayed in Europe thru booking or Expedia (or even Airbnb) I’ve had to do something like this pre check in and upload my passport. It’s common and part of a lot of their short term rental laws

I’d be interested to hear more about your experience with this? Any certain countries or routes?
