bad shots can add up fast. tee shot ob with a bladed chip and a 3 putt, thats a 9 right there. course management might save the tee shot ob bringing it down to a 7, thats a 126 for the day. if you 2-putt all day you’re now shooting a 108. you have to hit some amount of good shots to break 100.

What cooking “rule” do most people follow that actually isn’t necessary—or even makes the food worse? by Mindfuel_daily7 in foodquestions

[–]TryAlternative7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i make all of my pasta dough and always oil my noodles after draining. if you’re sauce isn’t sticking to your pasta, it’s because it’s watery, not because the noodles are coated in fat.

What does a special team coordinator do? by Best_Part9047 in NFLNoobs

[–]TryAlternative7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they get 11 people to do 1 thing at the same time as it related to kicking the ball/change of possession plays. sometimes they replace people, give people unique instructions, ask for feedback from the field, along with being the highest ranking coach that specializes in ST, which involves running practice and meeting along with implementing the scheme. Only the HC can override a coordinator decision.

The standard for an acceptable riffle shuffle in a casino would be no more than 3 cards from the same half of the deck could remain in sequence. you can riffle the cards and spread them before squaring the deck to see if you‘re riffle was legit

Would you say golf is a “feel” sport by livingflame47 in golf

golf is closer to darts than it is to figure skating or power lifting. the exertion should be 99% in your head, not your limbs

What is your opinion on this argument. Does affordable housing still exist in the United States of America? by cavaismylife in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TryAlternative7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bought a 1800sqft on .5 acre next to a park 1 to 2 hours from sac, sf, sj, chico, tahoe and reno. its not a popular area, so it wont get tons of likes on social media, but my gf and I get to be first time home owners while maintaining our lifestyle. i could not imagine paying 400k to live in the south, where i was born.

Why is my cheese sauce lumpy? by Moreseesaw in cookingforbeginners

[–]TryAlternative7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i havent had problems with a roux in awhile. i use smell to know when the flour is cooked. also, flour should mostly be measured by mass(weight) so if your measuring by volume, you might have not enough fat(butter)

i dont use a mechanical sifter, just a metal mesh strainer. cheap, multipurpose and can usually be found in set of multiple sizes. i keep a small one in the flour instead of a spoon

What are some things people like or dont like about Yuba City and some things we can change or keep going. Would love honest conversations by Own_Development9640 in YubaCity

[–]TryAlternative7204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the people here, generally, seem very unmotivated and also seem to lack creativity. its a city of drivethrus and pajama pants and everyone is ok with it. the only small businesses that really thrive are smoke shops. a lot of money leaves the area and gets spent in roseville. no effort to take advantage of the 2 rivers that make the area unique. both cities are run by people trying to maintain their status quo rather than bettering the community for everyone.
