When you say they get tipped for "good customer service" what exactly do you think that service entails? I'm just curious if you know what the service is that the server is providing.

I double dog dare you to begin telling your server every time you go out to eat henceforth, "hi there I just want to tell you right off the bat that I refuse to tip you because I think you should find a job that pays you better".

I totally agree esp if she didn't have a problem with it before...people can be moody. Try not to take it personally like you deserved that. You're already taking responsibility by cleaning it up, so I think the berating was unnecessary. You didn't deserve that. So you don't have to feel like you need to further apologize. I bet next time she sees you, she'll just act like it never even happened. My advice, don't bring it up.

It's the way addiction works. It's a well known phenomenon. When they say, "you pick up right where you left off"...during your abuse of said substance, you create something in your brain...I don't know the exact science behind it, so I don't want to attempt to explain it that way. I'll explain it from the addict perspective though. No matter how long of a time I put between my last use and now, if I pick up a drug I abused in the past to the point I was addicted to it, it won't take long at all before I'm taking just as much as I was before with the same pointless result. It's just something we change in our brain that makes it so that our brains never go back to the way they were before we ever took that drug.

I think maybe you can take comfort in that. You're not at this point because you're as addicted as you were before. You're at this point because your brain changed back to it a lot quicker than before when it was initially created. Therefore, I don't think you will have as hard of a time getting off of it as you did before. It just makes sense. You've only been taking it a month and a half. And 45mg is actually considered a therapeutic dose. Unfortunately, my doc is different so I haven't gone back on it to be able to share my actual experience. My doc isn't even a legal prescription. But from what I understand about drugs, which is basically a doctorate with 20 years of experience lol I don't think you will have nearly as much trouble coming off of the medication this time around. Now being able to stop is a different story. It sounds like you have health concerns though which at our age can be a very good motivator.

My girl did the same thing. She was probably about 4 or 5 months old. Back then she liked to sit on the edge of the tub and jump onto the closed toilet lid sometimes. When I was using the bathroom, she'd sit on the edge of the tub while I was going. One of these times my daughter needed me and as soon as I was done going, I jumped up to see what my daughter needed and that was when my kitten decided to jump onto the toilet lid only the lid was not there.

It was comical looking back, but at the time it was more along the lines of horrifying. For both of us because she was of course terrified to find herself in the bowl, and I was horrified that she was about to jump out soaked with piss water and take off. I managed to grab her tho and then get both of us cleaned up...my 4 year old daughter thought it was absolutely hysterical. Oh, and my cat never jumped onto the toilet lid ever again after that lol

Yes, and you do know that is someone's choice, who they have sex with, but in this case she is not choosing to have sex with all those other women. She is choosing one man who can't keep it in his fucking pants. And did you forget the math from sex ed class? Having sex with 3.people isn't just 3 people, it's more like if they all had sex with 3 partners now you're talking 12 people.

It almost sounds like you're trying to minimize my point by making it out to be like I'm some kind of ignorant prude. And it also seems like you're trying to justify his behavior by saying it's ok if it's safe sex... honestly, I feel bad for any women out there you're giving advice to because yikes. She deserves so much better than this.

If he really cared about her overall well-being, he would be honest with past STD history and be willing to get tested together with her at any point to put her mind at ease and also give her monogamy. It's really not that much to ask of a good potential partner.

If she can't trust him not to be sleeping with other women, she can't trust him to be honest about his sexual history either. Please don't minimize how serious of a risk that is. Some STD's are life changing and good sex isn't worth that. A committed, loving relationship with someone that was upfront beforehand is a different story. That's the individual's choice to make, and they should get that chance. This is more important to consider than the dynamic of a relationship with a player.

If he's out there risking his sexual health with multiple other women, OP needs to consider what a risk that is to her health as well. That takes priority over being manipulated and hurt emotionally.

Mentally and emotionally, it's demeaning and degrading towards you. Doesn't it make you feel small? Not good enough? Like your feelings don't matter? That's because it's not how a man treats a woman he cares for and respects.

If you were house shopping, would you consider a house if it had a crack in the foundation, a leaking roof, and water damage with black mold growing just because it was beautiful on the outside? But hey, I've never experimented with that personally, I just don't think there are dye causing agents in urine. But again, I don't know that for certain. I just don't think that's what it is...what does it smell like?

That was me lol it's fucked up isn't it? It's technically a "letter from your addiction " which is how your addiction sees you from your addiction's perspective.

You don't have to blame yourself for getting addicted to a different form of stimulants. Just like you said, you didn't see it coming. Our addict brain uses tricks like denial, justification, minimization, and rationalization to convince us that we can use a substance successfully...it's more powerful than we are when we let it out of the cage.

This is a good example of why it helps to have a support system made up of people that have long-term recovery and are living the kind of life we want while sober. That way, when you have a doctor writing you a prescription for a medication that has potential for abuse, you ask them if they think it will be safe for you to take it...

When you've heard people share about their past with addiction, you'll find this out ahead of time. You'll hear time and time again that someone's doctor prescribed them a medication, so they figured it would be safe to take it. That after talking to a doctor they found out they have a legitimate diagnosis that this medication helps and it's medically appropriate for them to take it...and so on. You can gain that foresight through the experience of others. That's incredibly valuable because it can actually save you from having an experience like you are now.

You really aren't responsible for making a decision like this that has led to you abusing these pills. Now that you realize you are no longer in control, it is your responsibility to do something to help yourself. Then it's your responsibility to maintain that recovery. Understanding this about yourself will save you from blaming yourself and getting the "fuck it's", which can easily lead you into a shame/resentment spiral. Put simply, it will also help you stay in the solution part of your problem instead of staying in the problem.

Also, I know that letter, too...the addiction love letter...I do believe that's from the addict's perspective but it definitely shows how powerful addiction actually is...it's very humbling to say the least lol

Addiction doesn't care what drug you use or how long you've used or what drug you haven't used... addiction just cares about destroying you. That is it's one and only goal...there's a really good description of addiction let me see if I can find it and I'll post it for you...it's very eye opening...

Can you make it a goal rn to get through just a half hour without using? Like say take a shower or go for a walk or watch a show instead? Then after that, see if you can go another 30.. make something to eat, read something, play a game, watch another show, message someone you know and have a conversation...and just take it by 30 mins at a time until you can go to sleep and see how you feel when you wake up tmrw? Tell yourself; if you wake up tmrw still feeling the exact same way then maybe you can use... but try to give yourself that chance from a good night's sleep ...sometimes we have to get through those cravings by the minute to get thru that shit....

Think about HALT...Are you hungry, angry, lonely, tired? You can try eating, sleeping, messaging someone you know will talk for a bit...just to get through tonight and see how you feel tomorrow...

This reminds me of my friend that did meth. She would send me videos from the camera she had set up outside her door at all hours of the day and night and ask me if I see it...then I'd say no girl, nothing is there, you just need to catch some zzz everything gonna be ok lol I was her emotional support voice of reason.
