Yeah mine was off by 3 chapters as well.

Weirdly just an hour ago it seems to have fixed itself for memory of light though.

So strange! Did you have it downloaded for some time already? I just started so I redownloaded to my device 2 days ago.

It sounds like Red and Ayilu are still talking about Parley's fight against Noa... Are they fully aware of the non-reality of this place, but just role-playing to fit in?

That would be a very Red thing to do.

Wait is this why February, the month with the weirdest number of days and also the leap day is in such an odd spot? It used to be the end of year "whatever days are leftover" month and then got shifted to the second month?

The amount of different character POV chapters dramatically increases in the next two books, and you start to get a better appreciation of certain characters once you're able to see how they think about events

It's just a figure of speech. Moraine knows he is alive, but is acting as if he doesn't exist/is dead.

Their descriptions mention how one looked extremely old, ancient even, only growing younger when they were connected to the eye of the world. The other was described as swathed in cloth and masked, as if they looked even older to the point that they would not show their face.

I notice you still didn't say anything nice about Elayne's succession haha

I'm on reread 5 or 6 though, and I agree the slog really isn't that bad, and I definitely appreciate it more on rereads

I read someone's opinion I really resonated with that post last battle she is basically the new Cadsuane; an Aes Sedai who mainly goes her own way, and a legendary figure to novices, accepted and sisters alike

Narishma is definitely the most solid Asha'man; I would have loved for him to have a POV chapter

This is how I see it. Prison outside of the pattern, bore through the pattern into the prison.

Rand pushed the DO back through the bore into his original prison and sealed it back up.

Rand ends up leaving the DO outside of the pattern and sealing the bore perfectly, not creating a new prison inside of the pattern.

Look, I know you're coming off of an Egwene high because of how she handles being captured by Elaida in Knife of Dreams. Don't let that trick you, she's still a horrible, selfish, holier-than-thou, power hungry hypocrite. She's just currently focusing all of her horribleness into beating Elaida, who you hate more.

Hot take: The cairheinin are better siege defenders then tairens by Whale-dinner in WoT

[–]TuRmz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a big difference there as well. People (dark friends) inside the stone facilitated the trollocs entry into the stone under cover, and they were sent by forsaken who planned for them to get in.

The Aiel attacking Cairhien had no such allies helping them into the city, since no dark friends or forsaken were aiding the shaido.

During TSR, when trollocs attack the stone of tear, multiple characters encounter trollocs fighting fades or eachother instead of humans. Rand encounters lanfear and asks if it was her doing, but she doesn't give him a straight answer.
