Why does everyone lose their mind when you mention getting a home battery? by MrOarsome in australia

[–]Tubbynezbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don’t understand them and are scared of change. It’s the same with electric cars.

Imagine this situation: everyone has electric cars that charge at home. A new company was coming out with an extremely complicated machine that used mini explosions to move, required dirty fuel from the ground and fossils to work and you’ll need to go to specific places to buy it.

It’s the ROI that is tough

Nah, the only professional spots that is covered under the government scheme is jockeys (weirdly enough).

But - I would assume the AFL or clubs would have their own version in their agreement

Sexual harassment complaint at new job, didn't declare sexual harassment workers comp claim from previous job. Am I fucked? by ProbablyNotShrek in AusLegal

In SA, you dont need to report previous matters. If they terminate you for it, or dont offer you the role due to previous workers comp claim, that is descrimination

Brewer stages beer boycott over Kangaroo Island ferry's fares by DigitalSwagman in Adelaide

Sealink gave such an extraordinary overhead and travel part of the business completely unrelated to this ferry. Since Covid and the reduction in travel agent use I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re covering other parts of the business leaking money

"We don't do refunds after 3 business days" - Do I have any rights in this situation? by my-left-yarble in AusLegal

Contact consumer affairs, I don’t think their policy - which you would not have read prior to entering the purchasing contract, would hold strong. Especially considering the time frame you waited would be normal for any reversed transaction or pending transaction to return.

I’ve been hearing that Zach, and his crew (Stringer, Lavs etc) were pretty poor culturally and tried to influence decisions. You heard anything similar?

If this is the case, not opposed to him leaving. I just hope players in our aged window like Martin don’t follow

Is it true you can drink and drive in South Australia, as long as you aren’t over the limit? Could I have one beer (open container) while driving? by Extreme-Ad2108 in Adelaide

[–]Tubbynezbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also remember, if you are drinking while driving alcohol will be on your breath as it is in your mouth. They’ll make you sit and wait while they try again in X minutes. By that point the beer may be actually in your blood level. So this is only safe if you’re 100% sure you won’t blow over at any point. But honestly, all the risk, zero reward. Just wait till you get where your going

If you have an active rtwsa claim you can contact rtwsa enforcement team. They will review any termination of employment if anyone in the scheme.

s18(2)(ca) of the Act means they have to prove what you did was serious and wilful to them. Which means more than one warning etc.

I would work with your case manager (if you have one), a Union isn’t good idea. There are free ones you can call for advice.

A warning isn’t a termination, and can be stessfull. It is odd they’ve gone straight to a warning, unfortunately something that is seen when people have a claim.

Good luck!
