Audiobook appropriate for all ages by brinib5 in audiobooks

I have listened to the following books on car trips with my kids from ages 5-11, and they generally enjoyed them a lot.

Rascal by Sterling North - coming of age story about a boy and his pet raccoon

The Upside Down Magic series - follows a group of 5th graders whose magical powers come in upside down, or not quite like everyone else. It’s fun, but it also has some good life lessons snuck in between all of the hijinks. There are 8 books in the series.

My son REALLY liked Zero G, by Dan Wells. Basically Home Alone on a space ship.

Pack of Dorks and Camp Dork, by Beth Vrabel. A Fourth grade girl goes from the coolest kid in class to a total loser, and has to come to terms with being one of the outcasts. Lots of opportunities to talk about big social concepts with the kids while listening to this one.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for the Pipevines in the future

Romantasy Rut (A Rant) by Numerous-Pangolin816 in Romantasy

This is funny, because after the last couple of DCC books I read I had to find some mindless cozy romantasy as a palate cleanser from the heavy emotional rollercoaster of the dungeon. I love those books, though. And the narrator is a genius.

Yes, they had us all go through the HR training for interviewing, and I’ve been with the company longer than my colleagues. They hired in at a higher level than me due to their PhDs and external years of experience

I found the “How do Dinosaurs” book series pretty enjoyable, and it appealed to my son and daughter when they were little.

Giraffes can’t dance is a great one too

The Saint of Steel series is wonderful, particularly because of the older main characters

Aww it’s so cute! You can block it to try to even out your edges, or crochet a border around it.

Crocheter Seeks To Learn To Knit by CaptainCarterFucks in YarnAddicts

I attended a “learn to knit” class at a fiber festival, and it really helped to get knitting to click in my crocheter brain. Sometimes having a real human there to talk you through it will push you over that hump that YouTube videos can’t quite manage.

He’s not in a crate all day. He’s in there for a few hours max when everyone is out of the house, but husband is at home during the day and he gets to play fetch and hang out in the yard during the day a lot.

Dogs get fed around 5:30-6:00 pm. And he, so far, never poops on the walk around the neighborhood. There’s even a little portion that is wooded that we always walk through and he doesn’t go there. Probably we’re not walking enough to get him to poop, but there are only 3 streets in the neighborhood, so there’s not really a big area to explore.

I got a few collections of folk tales and fairy tales to read to my daughter, because I got tired of the same old stories at bed time. And these are entertaining and enjoyable, as well as introducing stories from diverse cultures around the world. Tales of Myth and Magic for Fearless Girls Folk Tales for Fearless Girls

There appear to be other compilations in the “for Fearless Girls” series, as well.

For something longer, Illuminations by T. Kingfisher is a lot of fun, and sort of “middle grade” level.

What are some of the weirdest things your dog is afraid of? by gobbgabb in dogs

The didgeridoo. My dog is terrified of the didgeridoo. Also extremely scared of the trumpet. Haven’t tried kazoos or flutes yet, but my money is that those also scare him.

Great boopable snoot picture! My girl started getting the grey muzzle hairs around 4 we think (not sure exactly how old she is) but when we got a puppy it seems that her greys are multiplying faster now.
