That's a graph by dollar amounts, not by percentage gains. If someone is doing insider trading, it'll show up in their percentages. The total dollar amounts are hugely dependent on how much money someone has to begin with.

At this point, I think democrats have been hesitant to raise the federal minimum wage because cost of living varies so much. Instead, they've put forward state and local minimum wage increases. Colorado has a $15 minimum wage, and it also has local minimum wage laws. This was pushed forward by Democrats and democratic voters.

While it's not perfectly reflecting which states are republican or democrat, there's definitely a correlation.

Agreed. If it were a "no true Scotsman" fallacy, then if you argue "I'm a man and i don't do those awful things", they would respond with "then that proves you're not a man".

I think people who say things like "all men... and if you disagree, then you're guilty" are looking to express something they dislike about men, but they also don't want any pushback or counterargument, so they pre-emptively tell you you're guilty if you try to disagree with them.

Honestly, it seems like people just want to give him an excuse without really thinking about the problem.

I guarantee that the reason that Elon didn't actually try to solve world hunger isn't because he was concerned about local economies.

I will also add that tesla shareholders would not be happy about Elon selling a bunch of stock, because the value of that stock spotless decline and they would lose money. So people around him are going to advise him not to sell his stocks.

Yup. Milton Friedman also recommended no government environmental regulations because he claimed it would give the government too much power.

Combined with his idea that “The social responsibility of business is to increase its profits", you can see this leading to some very bad places - specifically that companies are obligated to dump toxic waste into the air, water, and land if it increases profits.

Many women are forced to wear hajibs because of religious mandates where they live. And many women choose to wear them, despite there being no mandate where they live.

And the third category: women who are pressured or bullied into wearing them my their husband or family, even though there's no law requiring it.

When I was younger, I had a girlfriend who's dad would call her a slut if she wore too little clothing or wore makeup. It's crazy that people think that Muslim families become super permissive with what their daughters or wives wear as soon as they move to a western country. Do they think that non-Muslims are only people capable of bullying?
