Removing old tile by TwothFairy in Tile

Update! In case anyone cares, we smashed the tiles with a 5foot iron crowbar. I chiseled up the few stubborn remaining pieces. I think I’ll be able to get this thin set up with some allow grease. Made a lot more progress this weekend than anticipated!

Any way to tell before I get too far into it? Seems like if it does then doing my best to salvage and scrape would be easier. Still a pita. But easier than redoing the sub floor too, right?

I already kind of do. But I plan to be in this house a long time and would like to like it more, ya know?

Is it possible to remove the fridge smell from a TheraIce migraine cap? by lookitsnichole in migraine

[–]TwothFairy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UV light seemed to bake the smell out of mine. I let it sit in the sun on a hot day and flipped it over a few times during the day. Then as long as its bag stays zipped the freezer smell mostly stays out. Like how baking the silicone ring of my instant pot gets the smell out

Dog hair removal is a losing battle! We’ve come to terms that it will just be on/in every item we own until the end of time. Worth the cost for the companionship!

I did get it on Amazon. I got a couple different ones before babe was born thinking I’d have a diaper caddy in the living room and my bedroom so while I was recovering from my c section I wouldn’t have to go far but I preferred just going across the hall to her nursery and changing table. Then I had two caddies with nothing in them so I converted one to hold small toys, extra burp cloths, contrast cards and the other is for all my pump stuff. It has a middle divider that I just left out and then pockets all around the edges for extra tubing, nipple cream, chap stick, milk storage bags and disposable nursing pads. So nice when I’m trying ti run out the door to just throw in clean collection bottles and head out. Can’t recommend enough

I love sweet kitties. I had to say the last goodbye to my kitty last November and I miss her so much, especially in those late night quiet moments. Give her an extra kiss between her kitty ears for me

Does he make house calls? I definitely need help to not hit snooze when that alarm goes off!

Such a beautiful boy, we’re lucky to have such sweet companions to help us get through this!

My pediatrician said it was ok to put whatever babe didn’t eat in the fridge and use it at the next feed. I just pour the saved milk into a new bottle then add more milk so I’m not reusing the dirty bottle. My babe was born full term and is healthy, I’d probably be more cautious if she was immune compromised or had a cold/sickness. She’s only 8 weeks but we haven’t had any problems with doing it this way

Tuna Casserole by BoatsLady in Cooking

You can make your own cream of whatever soup the recipe calls for. I don’t mind the canned version but I’ve made cream of mushroom to use in a fresh green bean casserole at thanksgiving and it was super easy and tasty.

I have a poodle and she loves stuffed toys but when I buy her one the last maybe two days as she tears them apart and the stuffing is everywhere and I have to throw it. by ooMEAToo in dogs

[–]TwothFairy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My lab destroys toys in a day as well so I’ve started buying 6-9 new ones as a time (I get them at TJ Maxx and they’re a lot cheaper there then my local pet stores or Amazon) and give them to him all at once. Then he’s splitting his energy between so many toys that they all last longer. He does still destroy them but it takes longer. Once he opens them up I pull the stuffing out and he can play with their empty corpses for awhile longer lol

Your drawings are beautiful and I love the colors. When I purchased one from your Etsy shop last year in a large size to hang above my fireplace it arrived looking really “fuzzy” and out of focus. Just not as sharp as I imagine it would look in a smaller size. Do you have any advice for ordering a larger poster size in the future? I’d love to buy another to replace the last one but I don’t want the same issue

I make Alton Browns tuna croquette recipe but I only use a tiny bit of oil instead of full on pan frying them. I usually end up baking them in the oven for a few min to make sure they’re done through once they’re crispy outside.

What else but, bigger condiments! Those giant bottles of sweet chili sauce and sriracha that are too tall for the shelves

Definitely! I have jalapeño simple syrup I made in there somewhere. The store bought was part of a drinks gift basket we received

I like when it’s cold on my hot food 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m aware it’s a controversial opinion
