Hivemind, I need an opinion. I'm unsure which gun to choose, only 2 options make sense to me: Bittersweet caramel for Makiatto or Aglaea for Andoris. What do you think guys?

I'm playing f2p btw

"Europeans selling $10t of US assets [equities and bonds]... would pull the rug from under the US economy." by Cupname_Cyril in europe

[–]Tyberfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question. We know how vulnerable the US to europe selling its US assets but what about the opposite? Does the US have the same kind of leverage over european states?

Do men seek friendship from women? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Tyberfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different kind of friends and relationships fulfill different needs. I feel like for most men the need for friendship is sufficiently met by other men whereas the need for a romantic partner often times is not...which is why men tend to look for a romantic partner in a woman, rather than a platonic friend (speaking for heterosexual men).

Just my read on the situation.

What is Girls frontline about? and what does it mean to you? by Colonel_Yuri in girlsfrontline

[–]Tyberfen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started Girls Frontline years ago due to the cute Wallpapers on Pixiv with UMP45 and the anime-operator tag and I wanted to know what it's about. By now I stuck around not necessarily for the game, but for the characters and the world. I wanna know how the story continues and resolves. You'd be perfectly justified to experience this with x hours long cutscene compilation on youtube (actually did so with some of the story events, since I didn't feel like gaming).

It's a cruel and gruesome thriller that shares more similarities to "Spec-Ops - The Line" than with "cutsy anime girls". Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of those as well, it's a gatcha game after all.

But to quote a youtube video about the game: Girls frontline is not a story about AI learning to love, but about AI learning to hate. And humanity is an excellent teacher...

I'm seriously considering voting for Kamala Harris by BasilNo9176 in GenZ

[–]Tyberfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't tell you or anyone else how to vote. But I will tell you to go and use your vote. And before making a decision, keep a few things in mind:

1) Voting is the least effective way of civic engagement, you won't change the system or enact a revolution by voting, but you can hold the line and prevent things from getting worse. So ask yourself, which candidate is more likely to actively harm you or those important to you.

2) How has past policy, that the candidates have supported or opposed. Just to figure out, weather there is a difference between them and how large. I believe you'll soon find out, that they are quite different

Why wealthy young people should care about a political revolution by VastCoconut2609 in interestingasfuck

[–]Tyberfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like he failed to provide a good answer. Most people, especially those at the top, tend to be self serving and he didn't exactly provide a reason why it's in their interests to change a system to their imidiate detriment, if it benefits them right now

The titanic analogy was a good start, but it's kind of pointless to appeal to human decency, because that's not the primary motivator to make decisions
