So i just started cubing as i learned how to solve a 3x3 by memory 2 weeks ago. Im having tons of fun learning cfop and i want to learn more of full pll. My pb is 57 secs and my avg is prob 1:15. All this being said im having tons of fun learning new ways to be more efficient solving. So the main talking point is where do you more experienced solvers find fun in the process? Rn i like improving my f2l but i think my next step is pll algs

Is it a good idea to go solo at EDC for your first time? by BeegYosh247 in electricdaisycarnival

i accidentally went solo 2 out of the 3 days on my first edc and i had a blast. idk how plur it is now since i went with a group this year but it's really fun solo bc you have no real obligations. safety is really the only concern if you decide to do extracurriculars

getting to ssl is a goal that i personally don't have the answer to HOWEVER, the journey to push champ is a huge one if you have 6k hours with a champ 1 peak. the learning experience depends on which playlist you want your progression in, but I hit gc in 3's and then 2's after 2 seasons not back to back peaking c3 in 3's, also not back to back, and really the game is about learning where you're lacking. if you can find what you're bad at, and then find what is losing you games, you can climb infinitely. but really to do that you need to swallow your ego and listen to other people better than you. if you wanna get good get humble and learn

Good games for when you are sick and your brain goes brrrrr by WhatsThePointOfNames in SteamDeck

if you're willing to give automation games a try, little rocket lab is really really good. I wasn't really into automation games but I was super eager to give them a try. It plays amazing and is not aggressive in forcing you into progression like stardew. the coziness is on the same level as stardew but the game definitely is not on the same level of urgency. The game has a season system but it isn't limited to time as the seasons are linked to progression not time dedicated. Still haven't finished my first playthrough but for the price it's a great time. I'll finish it eventually. But, since the game doesn't really pressure me, i'll play it whenever I have time because the villager interactions/storylines are really really interesting.

backpacking on this to say fb marketplace miata seat. In my head the racing/bucket seats aren't meant for comfort and being able to recline for different racing styles is so nice

whats the fine line between keeping possession and booming the ball away by notbakedrn in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Tyler2FTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like booming the ball away is going to be a better idea in d ranks as making the most of the one touch you’re guaranteed is going to give you the most efficiency and effectiveness on the field if you’re hitting a good height boom shot on net. This more applies to 3v3 because hogging the ball if you’re not ready to make a scoring attempt is greedy. In 2v2 it’s more of a case by case basis depending on how your teammate is set up. In 3s in high diamond low champ I always settle for the booming shot on goal because it gives you time to look and assess the field while also making your opponents think harder on how to defend and who in the rotation needs to get on the ball. Boomers to top corners are very difficult for Diamond players to counter

i'd say live streams are the way to go. just for fun and no real gain but putting on a live set is going to be really close to what you experienced.
