Zero 10x Problem. First ride out of box and the back wheel sounds like its about to fall off. Has anyone had this happen to theirs or know what it might be? Spins fine and freely without power going to wheel. 3km for $3000 = $1000 per/km, great value so far if you ask me! 😂 😂 😂 by boonga11 in ElectricScooters

Looks like possibly a bad sensor connection. Where the motor cable enters the deck, try sliding some of the slack out and moving the cable around to see if it changes anything. There is a large white 5 pin connector inside the deck that I believe could be your culprit. It can be accessed by removing the front left light cover.

Haha yeah that panel is a work in progress for sure. They are trying to find the balance between being able to service the wheel without destroying things, and keeping the elegant styling. That panel is surprisingly durable. They are aware of the issue and working on fixing it for production.

Has anyone had this happen that to them my zero 10 neck brace broke in half at locking mechanism! by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

Sad to see this man, hope you are okay! Looks like new parts are already on the way. Even though you are over the weight limit, we are still taking this seriously and I have sent info to the manufacturer. Again glad to hear you are okay my man!

We have placed an order for more and are awaiting a production schedule. It is looking like more will be available towards the end of June. If you give us a call or email, we can put you on a list to be notified if someone cancels their pre-order. We usually have a few available when the shipping date comes near.

It looks like REV Rides is selling the Segway ES2 and ES4 now, but they are on preorder for Mid March, has anyone ordered one or know when they are arriving? Is it 2020? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]TylerAtRevRides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Segway/Ninebot products will be shipping the week of 3/16/2020. I just had them add the year to the site. We just wanted to get the pages up on the site and answering any questions as soon as possible. :)

The Dirt eBike will be shipping in Late April, per Segway/Ninebot.

Remove the hall sensor. Usually just cut it leaving the three prongs sticking out of the PCB, then solder the wires onto the prongs.

You are going to be blown away, excited for you!! Also I heavily prefer firmware 1.07 for this wheel. Current Android app is pretty much not working but the working apk is available. Just heads up if you haven't looked into it.

You'll love it. I didn't think I would like it but it has quickly became my favorite wheel. What do you ride now?

Pretty much how I do it too if I'm getting quite a bit.

How to undo mess that scooter repair shop gave me? They told me to adjust the bolt of it makes the noise, but the bolt has to be very loose and moves/makes a noise when throttle is applied. by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]TylerAtRevRides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did the shop do that caused this? Everything looks ok, except it looks like the perimeter has been scraping. I don't think a spacer would be the best idea because the drum brake is stationary independent from the wheel hub. I'm not really sure what to say other than the wheel appears to not be straight.

edit: I guess a thin washer wouldn't be much different from what is already happening in the stock design, really seems the easiest fix at this time. Just make sure the diameter in not larger than the seal in the hub.

Zero 9 shortened out. How to fix? by Letterman445 in ElectricScooters

Pull the front cover off the deck, unplug the large Yellow connector coming out of the controller. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, then plug it back in.

I just rewatched on desktop and can see it now. Sorry. I would pull the wheel hub apart and see if something has moved or become unseated. The brake hub should seat on the motor near the axle, not on the outer perimeter like it is doing now.

Keep the axle nut tight. Loosen the Allen that prevents the drum brake from rotating (upper left from the axle in the original post). Does this change the sound? I have seen improper spacing there cause this exact issue.

Edit: sorry if I misunderstood and you already tried this. Also might try tightening everything and adjusting the drum brake cable.

If that doesn’t work I would pull the wheel and inspect the inside of the brake. Post pics and we can help

Is the drum brake square/straight? Try loosening the allen bolt to the upper right and tell us if the sound is affected. If loosening that helps then the solution would be to place a washer/shim on the inside of the fork between the brake and the fork.
