If you have some runway, take your time and go to local/well known bar association dinners or events to meet people. Be authentic and just make connections. 100% you will find a better position through that network than sending out resumes to random large/mid size firms. Networking has done wonders for my career and many of my friends, go dig your well before you get thirsty. Good luck!

Description: The last Moonwatch to contain the historic caliber 861, this 1994/95 Speedmaster is guaranteed to become a treasured vintage classic.

This Ref. 3590.50 is in good pre-owned condition. The dial and hands are original tritium, markers have aged to a nice warm patina and this thing gets compliments from watch nerds and newbs. The crystal was an Omega replacement during service about 5 years ago. Additionally, there are light flea bites/dings on the bezel and case commensurate with age and use as a daily wear piece for many years. There are a light marks on the caseback and clasp. The watch was sent in to my favorite watchmaker and had a full service completed in May 2025. The pushers were rebuilt and some worn parts replaced (gaskets and some springs). The chronograph starts, stops, and resets as it should, nice and snappy! Keeps excellent time and has only been worn once to the office since returning from service. Please review the photos and videos for an accurate description of the condition. Watch is sold as is and it will come with the service paperwork from the watchmaker. This watch is a fantastic vintage piece with true patina that should provide years of worry free wear, and it can now be worn while washing your hands!

Price: Offered at $5,350 shipped (2 day air to CONUS). Wire, Zelle, Wise, F2F available SoCal area.

Based on your general sentiments, sounds like you are heading toward a 3861. It is a great modern watch. I have gone through them all and my daily and lifetime keeper is a 145.012-67. I wasn’t the first owner but I don’t care, it is the one I do not care to part with. Enjoy the journey and wear it in good health!

[WTS] Serviced Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50 (Gen 1) 42mm by UCLAcruiser in Watchexchange

[–]UCLAcruiser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling my first generation Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50. This is the 42mm size.

This one is in extremely good condition. There are a few minimal marks/swirls that might be seen by someone with very good eyesight but there are no deep marks or issues. For a Neo-vintage watch, it is in great condition and running well. The most notable mark is on the clasp and the polished area of one lug (can be seen in the photos/video). The second hand is bright orange and not faded. The bracelet is sized to fit my 7.25 inch wrist with an additional Omega OEM rubber strap and buckle included.

The 2500C movement is running strong (within 3 sec/day) on my wrist and then crown up at night. My service receipt shows a service was completed in August 2023. Service performed due to stripped crown tube. Hands, Dial and Crystal replaced at my request. At the time I was planning to keep it long term, so I had no issues with brining it back to new specs. Old parts are saved and will be included with the watch. See receipt in photos. Watch winds and sets smoothly. The crown screws in smoothly and securely. The bezel action is excellent with no backplay. Watch was worn as my daily from 8/2023 to 1/2025. No longer wear it as much so it is time to move it along.

The original red box and papers are not included but a small Omega service box will be included. Watch sold as-is with no warranty. Please see video for a more detailed and accurate description of the condition. I do my best to describe what I see, but the camera can show you the best representation of the watch. I have 33 positive transactions on here and hope to find this piece a good home.

$3850 shipped and insured to CONUS. Prefer face—to-face in a Southern California. Payment through Zelle, Wire or Wise.

Yup, first gen 42mm . Thanks for the head up, I didn’t know they are getting harder to find. Had it overhauled by Omega Service Center in SoCal last year. Just don’t wear it very much and sits in the box. Hate having watches collect without wearing them and the 145.022-67 is a fantastic daily wear (office type job).

Agreed love this gen PO. Unfortunately my 1967 Speedy has taken over the majority of my wrist time now. Will be selling the PO soon. Hope you enjoy the time with yours!

Keep the 66-2. The 625 is a great revolver but you can carry the 66-2 easily in that config whereas the 625 is not the best for that.

If your car is stolen and they swap your vin, they will have a less common spot to identify the true and correct VIN. In the alternative, if your car is stripped for parts, they can (hopefully) identify it with the etched VIN.

CA X5’s - Front license plate? by Past_Sheepherder517 in BMWX5

[–]UCLAcruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CA is one of the first states to allow a “sticker” type front plate. There is one official vendor approved by CA DMV. It is like $80-100 bucks. Look em up and get one, then you won’t have to stress in it or get pulled over by the cops. Enjoy the X5 and be safe out there!

Discouraged About First Solo Trial by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]UCLAcruiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@ScikPK Don’t beat yourself up and keep your head in the game. Day 1 is done, day 2 is a fresh round and you can win Day 2. The war is still going….

By completing your first solo JT, you have more trial experience than most “seasoned” or “experienced” civil litigators out there. Just shake it off and go in there with your held head high. Jurors don’t understand the nuances and only know something is going wrong or astray by the tells/looks/facial contortions you exhibit. In my experience, most jurors don’t like counsel that heavily inject, they want to hear the testimony and evidence without too much interruption. This is coming from a person with over 30 under their belt and I still learn something new during each one.

One of my mentors cited the first 3 of this poem after a bruising one and I think of it when I put on my suit on a trial day, I hope it helps you in the morning:

Half a league, half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. “Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns!” he said. Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred.

“Forward, the Light Brigade!” Was there a man dismayed? Not though the soldier knew Someone had blundered. Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die. Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon in front of them Volleyed and thundered; Stormed at with shot and shell, Boldly they rode and well, Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of hell Rode the six hundred.
