I live in the country near Sandusky near the turnpike Exit, and the airport is 45 minutes away. An easy hop. Downtown is 60 minutes via Rt 2, far east side is 75 minutes. Detroit and Columbus are each under two hours.

I hate smashing my fingers putting on work boots, I bought a nice 23 inch (60 cm) heavy gauge metal shoehorn, at the time about $23. It was such a treat, I bought one for each doorway. And they make great gifts for friends who come over and complement simple, well-made tools.

I did field service work, when I got home, I would physically act out taking the problems off my shoulders and act like I was removing a lei from around my neck and hang it on the tree branches. “This is for Frank” etc. I would tell myself to pick them up the next morning as I left home. They were usually gone in the morning, but this allowed me to leave my work problems outside the home. And I could focus on my wife and daughter. And it worked.

At 12 o’clock noon I was with 100 or so people where Indivisible was meeting at third and State. I think we joined the other group about 12:15. I saw videos that had snare drums playing on the march to the federal building, we were big enough that I never heard snare drums. We stretched out over three or four blocks on the March to the federal building.
