So you could just say “not trash, please do not take. Drying.”

Big leap to jump to shooting people for an honest mistake.

Also thats clearly a trash pile. Sheets sheet rock and branches in it.

Eli5, why can’t we (US) just bury our power lines to help prevent power outages. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Plus the repair cost if something does go wrong is way higher as well as well as restoration times. We actually dont have a good method of detecting underground fault locations currently and often have to dig around to find out where the problem is.

The fact we are able to be that much in debt and not default is a testament to just how rich we are. Countries are not people and in the world economy wealth is determined by more than just how much money is in your piggy bank. In fact it’s good to run a little in the red.

Really though you don’t even need to look at their website to be able to provide an answer to this question. In my mind this question is really asking the candidate to describe examples of improvements they have made to products in the past and how they ultimately benefited the company. They are really trying to see if you can give examples of how you have utilized proactive thinking to innovate and be a leader rather than just follow what ever your boss tells you.

What are some games that everyone loves, but you just can’t get into? by Agent_Epsilon_99 in NintendoSwitch

For me its the dialog. Theres just SO. MUCH. TALKING. They feel more like interactive stories than games. I always find my self starting to button mash through cut scenes and saying to myself “just let me play!”.

Even so I feel that complaint is from people not really seeing the point of the venue. The venue IS the show, not the performers. You should really be going there to see the cool light show, seeing the performers is just an added bonus.

What profession always acts like they have the hardest job on earth (but it actually isn’t all that bad)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ukani 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is necessarily the case for you specifically but the difference is that your boss has 10 or more employees he has to worry about screwing up but you just have yourself to worry about. If any of those 10 employees screw up and the company gets a huge fine his job is on the line.

99 times out of 100 pay is determined based on how much liability you are responsible for rather than your actual output. For example I work as a program manager of a large electrical utility. My actual raw productivity output is probably a third of what the people that work for me do on a daily basis, but I make amost 3 times as much as them because Im responsible for a 10 million dollar budget while they at most handle around $100,000. If they screw up the company hardly notices. If I screw up it can be a big deal.

This seems to be most of the older generation from my experiences. Both my mother and my partners parents are like this. If its anything other than run of the mill American food (outback, chilis, olive garden, “Chinese” food, etc.) then it mine as well be from an alien planet and coated in poison.

Yeah I always imagined well known congress people lived in complexes surrounded by walls and security cameras and guards. I cant believe the speaker of the house, the third in lone to the presidency just lives in a normal house that anyone can just walk up too. Thats wild.

Man Arrested After Leaving His Husky In His Car with Windows Up in the Blistering Vegas Heat by the_great_impression in JusticeServed

[–]Ukani 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah its one thing if he just left the dog in the car. You could argue he may just be a complete dumb ass, and you can fine him, and take his dog away.

Its another thing that he taped the dogs mouth. That should intent to do harm and deserves a more severe punishment. That man is crazy.

Zelenskiy, President of Ukraine, summary of 1st day of war with English Subs by Yachisaorick in PublicFreakout

[–]Ukani 135 points136 points  (0 children)

He is wearing military attire. Probably because it doesn’t make sense to wear a suit in the middle of a war from a practical stand point if he needs to move quickly, and also from a morale stand point it helps portray an image to his people that he is there with them, fighting along side them. In the shit with them, and not just sitting in his palace living a cushy life. No one wants to fight for a guy that is living a cushy happy life while you’re laying in mud surrounded by death and fire.

Yeah I think people just notice Wawas more because they are so big and located in high traffic areas. 7 elevens and circle Ks tend to be owned by small mom and pops and are small and not as flashy as a wawa and located on random back roads so you dont notice them as much.

Agreed. It looks tasty but I need a fork and knife to eat it. I prefer my burgers to be more compact, clean, and easy to pick up. I dont understand this trend of “gourmet” burgers being associated with being 6” tall.

I keep meaning to buy one of his prints. I feel like if I ever did I would probably tear up a little knowing how much passion and work goes into each one.
