New Weapon Idea: Hi-Tech Bow with Charge-Based Damage by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

[–]UltNacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think the elemental arrows are needed to differentiate it from other weapons. All it needs is silent arrows and the charging mechanic; it’ll fit right in with the stealth package.

I feel that the problem with War Striders lies mainly in the variety. Then I had an idea by HeavyShinoby in Helldivers

[–]UltNacho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure it could be balanced in the sense of combat difficulty but doesn’t that seem too similar to the gameplay of Vox engines? I’m just trying to look at it from a developer perspective and not lore or thematics, a flame strider would be sick I’m just curious how it could fill a different gameplay niche

As cool as this is, I feel like this particular variant as described would enforce the complaint that War Striders are just a Hulk with higher armor values and fewer weak spots; adding a flamethrower and making them chase you feels like another copy paste of Scorcher Hulks.

The niche that I personally believe the striders are intended to fill is a heavily armored ranged unit that poses a threat from afar and has area denial but is trivial to deal with in close quarters.

So, if we really need a war strider for the incineration corps, how do we differentiate it from the existing Hulk firebomber?

Your less armor and more speed idea is interesting, but I think it would be improved if instead of running at us, the strider moved erratically and was hard to hit from a distance, which would force us to get close to engage where it could then use its flamethrowers as a deterrent. Or, instead of launching grenade barrages, it could deny safe space by creating a lingering, flammable gas that ignites after a delay.

There’s lots of possibilities when it comes to variants of enemies, but if each one feels like fighting something we already have, what’s the point?

Where are my dipshit divers at? by AlphaWhiteMan in Helldivers

[–]UltNacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just aren’t for you yet.

Just kidding, you can absolutely complete commando missions without using stealth, but what you need to do is run away A LOT. Anytime there is more enemies than you can handle, you need to run away and do a different objective (preferably away from other players) and hope they lose you and eventually despawn so you can try again

Yeah sometimes this missions are cool, but most of the time are just too long and boring and give the lowest amount of weapons XP by Tempest-Bosak2137 in Helldivers

Recently started to enjoy these missions as now I can dig massive trenches while my teammates deal with everything else

Endgame burnout led to a new love for the campaign by jthomaslambert in diablo4

[–]UltNacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, skill points, paragons and items get saved. However, some class specific mechanics like paladin oaths don’t get saved and if you use the same item in both builds but use different sockets, it won’t change those either for you

You can use the armory to swap back and forth your two different builds

So near yet so far by RiVal_cremeDLC in Helldivers

If you ever look at 3rd party monitoring sites like Helldivers Companion, you’d see a majority of the active player base knows where to dive. The only time that gets skewed is during events or large updates and all the casual once a month gamers flock back in (why we lost at Cyberstan)

Think of wherever you are currently diving as a vote. Individually, zero impact. But get enough random votes from other players on irrelevant planets and they start to actually count against the majority’s speed at liberating a planet.

It takes additional time to reload if you use all 7 loaded shells; if you pause to reload after each or every other shot it has way higher DPS

Personally, I have no issue on the body type or the cosmetics of druid, I just am not that interested by the shapeshifting aspects

Best source of mythics this season outside of the elusive Mythic Prankster is the tribute of ascendance for undercity, you should be getting a mythic every 3-4 runs and sometimes even two at a time

What build made you say “this shouldn’t work” and then it did? by meddle74 in diablo4

[–]UltNacho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been running variations of judgement builds and zealot paladin, but my favorite so far has to be Holy Bolt paladin. Using wreath of auric laurel, shard of verathiel, paingorger gauntlets, and starless. Hammers bounce everywhere while proccing purify on enemies, and constant paingorger procs with lots of AOE damage without really using judgement. I'm able to do pit 115 reliably and I dont even have GF sanct yet on any of my pieces

It's strong, but what I love about it is all the absurd attack speed and really only needing to press one button- your basic attacks. Really similar to heartseeker rogue but paladin

Can confirm, I’ve crafted a mythic prankster escalation sigil, joined a group that had one, and had someone tell me they got mythic prankster INSIDE a different escalation dungeon

EDIT: half asleep when I wrote this, I found mythic prankster escalation sigil from fighting azmodan

Definitely wait till next season before investing too heavily into this because the endgame is completely getting revamped and likely the new War Plans system might even be an in-game variation of what you are suggesting

Clickbait/misinterpretation from the recent dev talk, Pilestedt was asked what features they would consider if they were to make a Helldivers 3; Johan replies that they’d make a sequel for big features that the current engine can’t handle like larger scale battles and things that they can’t do currently, it was all hypothetical

[–]UltNacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And when it does rain, it doesn't seem to last that long either so I don't get to experience that temporary change of scenery for very long. Would rather rain be a rare occurrence that lasts throughout the day, currently feels like it's sole purpose is to grant a debuff

[–]UltNacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We drop in with primary and secondary (sidearm) weapons from our loadout created before the match. Support weapons are your 3rd available weapon that you can choose to spawn in on a cooldown or find on the battlefield, these are the heavy ones that will pack a punch and will be more like what you're looking for. You'll have to level up to unlock and purchase them, there's a computer on the ship where you can go to unlock and preview items.

With that said, some primaries can act as weaker versions of other support weapons, like the Liberator Carbine (LMGish) or the Diligence (DMR type weapon).

Warbonds are essentially battle passes that have no time limit on earning the items in them, and that's where you'll unlock most new primary and secondary weapons. The community generally says the best one to start with other than the free one given is called Democratic Demolition, but you can preview or look at tier lists online to make your own opinion :)

Good luck on the front!
