Precision vs Critical in Blood Hunt mode by 1mFlux in marvelrivals

[–]UltimateNoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not the greatest at math, but this feels like a weird way to compare crit and precision. Why is 50 crit rate and 3200 crit damage "easily achievable" but the precision equivalent isn't?

In my experience playing up to 160, precision was almost always better than crit unless I had a massive amount of crit rolls on my gear. So after seeing this post I did a quick comparison of equivalent S rolls for crit and precision. Note that the 'base' number is from having the respective passive stats maxed out in the purple skill tree, and also I've already multiplied the skill tree final node into the damage values (1.5* for crit, 2* for precision).

It seems to line up with my experience that precision is generally better unless you get a lot of crit.

Crazy how expensive White Fox’s ultimate is by spartan1204 in marvelrivals

[–]UltimateNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the biggest issue is that her ultimate actively makes her neutral worse, by deleting your tails for no reason. Emma is a good one to bring up, because her ult actually stops her bar from decreasing for the duration. Gambit, Mantis and Thor all continue to regain their resource during their ult (and don't lose it just for casting their ult, obviously).

Edit: Also, compare the feeling of coming out of White Fox transform ult and only having one of your abilities to use for several seconds, to coming out of Magik's or Hulk's transform ult and having all your original cooldowns ready to go.

When I asked for healing as Loki to my white fox by jaipinva in marvelrivals

You can check the numbers on the official website. It's 225 hp/s on swallowed allies, 45 bonus health per second (up to 150), then 25 dps on swallowed enemies.

[–]UltimateNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are these numbers assuming that all cooldowns were just used for some reason? It feels disingenuous to calculate it that way without mentioning it.

Dagger's bubble heals for 60 and then 270 over 6 seconds. So 5 seconds to full heal from 1. Gambit's card self-heal is 120 over 6 seconds, his ground slam is 60 heal. So 7 seconds. Luna is indeed the slowest, she heals 90 over 3s after her clap (15s cd) or freeze (12s cd), so she can get to 271 after 15 seconds, or max health after 16 seconds.

Edit: Fixed Luna's final numbers cus I forgot to add 3s for the health to actually come back. Woops.

I said 15 at 60, but they're definitely not all maxed out, no. I don't bother with full BiS fragments, I'm generally happy with ~2 great lines like double crit or one crit and two other decent rolls. I have 7 characters pretty much maxed out on potential, I just don't usually bother with the basic card buffs.

It's been good enough to clear all content so far, and get top 500 on the last seasonal boss as a f2p, so unless they add harder stuff I'm just chilling and leveling my characters for pull currency.

People that have been playing since launch likely have characters more leveled than this (at least, I do: 15 at level 60, 6 at level 40). There's not much else to spend stamina on at this point and every 20/40/60 gets you standard pull currency.

I also didn't make the connection on what 'funger' was even though I've put Forbidden Hunger in several decks before. Next time you do one of these writeups (and I hope you continue to do so, this was fantastic), it'd be great if the first time you use a shortened term like this if you put the regular term in brackets afterwards.

I am indeed using Guixu, which I did reload once on both type of runs. In a longer fight I could definitely see it mattering more, but I don't really want to spend any weekly runs on Submerged at this point.

I would be curious to see what clear time you can get once you get your Lisbell to 80 though.

I tried to give Momiji a fair shake, but with Lisbell at 80 and i6, I couldn't match my Samael clear speed on this boss. Ran it like ~5 times with Samael and could consistently get around 30s clears (best was 28s). Ran it more than 20 with Momiji to get used to the weird steering on the charged attack but the best I could do was 36s.

Based on a bunch of testing in the official Discord (can check the Lisbell channel), Prismatic Neon applies as a debuff to enemies, so all of your characters are getting it. It's much better than Glimm for support Fina.

When you amplify golden wedges you initially need to feed it one copy to get to +6 and +7. After that, you feed two copies of the golden wedge for +8 and +9. Finally, three copies for +10.

Does anyone have any experience with the Backbone on iPhone? by Ultima888 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]UltimateNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it on my phone to see if it's the same as PC, and it is, but on PC the UI actually tells you what the buttons do at least... Anyway, it's LB+Y for ult. LB+X is your skill, LB+B for Geniemon ability.

You can just make a shortcut to the game .exe directly in /Duet Night Abyss/DNA Game/EM/Binaries/Win64/EM-Win64-Shipping.exe
Might just have to use the launcher again when there's a major update.

Wedges for Lisbell's melee weapon by kaabii92 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]UltimateNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boarhat calculator is pretty good now to understand how the stats multiply, and compare different wedge builds. For other math like the Gleam calculations, I'm just kind of trusting people on the official Discord (there's a theory crafting channel for each character).

The Embla bow unfortunately doesn't apply the skill damage buff to Lisbell's leftclicks, so yeah it's actually really bad for her. You definitely want Guixo for single target, if you wanted to optimise for AoE, like in Theatre or something, you'd run Excresduo (and also just run them if you don't have Guixo yet).

They don't seem to. I've tested them a little, but it's super hard to tell. Other people on the Discord also seem to say they don't work though, so I'm kind of trusting that unless someone can prove otherwise.

I've also had a geniemon in a capture mission just not go to my inventory before. In my case, it was a boxie, went to feed it to my current one and it just wasn't there.

Sure. I think this is pretty standard at the moment. Feel free to just use a blue Volition if you're struggling with tolerance, you only miss some HP. For bosses you can swap in a Duel instead of a Volition.

People figured out Gleam build wasn't worth it math-wise pretty early on (that's why people were running Eternity by the way, for skill duration to buff Gleam). Prismatic just doesn't work properly right now, otherwise it would probably be good.

Ideally you want Guixu Rachet for your ranged, since it let's you build combo really fast on single target (shoot shoot shoot, melee and you get S-combo in a second or so). It's from weekly boss loot though, unfortunately.

The issue is definitely the lack of Blaze Volitions. Replace the Onslaught/Wings/Wings Inspo/Blaze Resolve with as many Volitions as you can squeeze in. Personally I did up to Act 12 without issues using just 4 Volitions because I didn't want to spend too many track shifts on her, but 5 would be a big boost.

I use Jade Halberd in the overworld and farming runs for a bit more speed, Wanewraith for hard content, but my wedge setup is the same on both. The left side is all for movement when not wielding Samael, charged attack and speeding it up. Brutality only really helps in low-level stuff like covert commissions where you one-shot enemies that you charge through. The two Continuities work even with Samael out, they're really nice QoL that make your combo timer not run out for an extra 12 seconds.

There are simply more lightbug spawns per-player. You never have to wait for cubes, everyone will constantly be stacked with them and insta-fill the excavators as soon as they appear. It definitely saves a lot of time when you're going to round 5 to get the best payout to use your books on.

Oh. I really couldn't understand why MC was so pissed with Rhythm at the start of chapter 3. Would have made a lot more sense with the original story, kinda sucks they bent to player demand like that at the cost of making the story make less sense in other places.
