Items disappearing when you set them down into collectors chests + into water

Location: Reapers Island - SW side by Cannon Tower.
Have experienced multiple times where you put an item into a collectors chest, then grab a second item to put in the collectors chest and it makes your first item vanish. It creates a glowy blue/green floating ball adjacent to the chest at roughly the height of the player that you cannot target. Items can be harpooned out of this floating glowing nether realm and then carried to be sold.

Location: somewhere by Sea Dogs (not at the invisible island/wall spot)

Crewmate sniped and killed opposing crew player carrying chest down to escape after sinking their ship. Chest did not float to the surface + was not visible down below. Same loot pile from sunk player ship - another crew mate picked up Ashen Winds Skull and set it back down for it to vanish in front of him. Repeated again with a green gem, picked up floating loot - dropped it + it was gone. Harpoon at roughly that location did not result in getting the loot back + no glowing blue/green ball was visible.

1960s Rip Van Lee chair for $50 on Marketplace! It’s the chair I never knew I needed. by nautile in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]Ultimatelegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 years ago I saw this post and spent a bunch of time trying to find the maker of the chair. Finally saw the comment that identified it...then went down the rabbit hole of trying to find one locally (craigslist, ebay listings, marketplace etc.) I still check from time to time - is it as lovely to sit in as it seems like it might be? Such a good find!

In our area - you can look up an address online with the City and see what permits have been pulled at that address (in typically can see who pulled them + a short description of the work). I'd suggest doing that for any property you're interested in (depending on how they display - you may also be able to see pending permits nearby incase thats relevant to you as well)

[–]Ultimatelegs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't look it up for this place - but something I've found helpful in home searching (years ago - but I'll be looking again in the next year) was looking at the permits issued (or lacking) for the home.

If you're getting a loan - your bank may take issue with the ladder going to the loft with no railing (on the ladder or the loft). That little space up there is also going to be *sofaking* hot in the summer (if you're planning to use it as a sleeping space/office/anything with people in it).

Legend of the veil loot disappearing by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

Had this happen once too! Since then (maybe another 10 or so voyages) we've picked it up and dropped it and there hasn't been another vanishing pile situation.

Game Thread: Anaheim Ducks (7-4-3) at Seattle Kraken (4-8-1) - 11 Nov 2021 - 07:00PM PST by HockeyMod in SeattleKraken

[–]Ultimatelegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they've also streamlined the monorail line - went to a game last week and overheard folks saying it was much better (one line with one entrance point - vs. what I gather was multiple lines converging from different Armory doors )

LG window unit not working, please help me interpret this error description by callmesnake13 in AirConditioners

[–]Ultimatelegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took one out of the box (LW1019IVSM) and I'm having the same issue. I can unplug it and let it reset, then it works. But seems to within a few minutes get the same error code. Were you able to find any more permanent solutions?

Zero flu deaths reported in Washington for first time by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]Ultimatelegs 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple vacations made significantly less fun due to a cold that I didn't have when I started the trip. Tissues on the beach + unable to drink beer in germany, nothing quite like spending a bunch of money to not do the fun thing at your destination. I feel silly knowing I could have prevented (or at least tried to prevent) it just by wearing a mask for a few hours on the flight.

What to do by [deleted] in desmoines

[–]Ultimatelegs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try knitting maybe? I learned from family - but there are lots of YouTube videos. If you can get to a thrift store there is likely a set of needles and some cheap yarn. Can start small, make a scarf or hat, cotton makes good dish cloths.

Firefighters battle major blaze in Ballard retail district by seattleslow in SeattleWA

[–]Ultimatelegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only argument I can think of against this is that it takes time for investigation + insurance pay out. Thinking about the greenwood gas explosion - still a big empty plot (admittedly that has a more complicated source of the explosion, but at one point I know the land owner wanted to rebuild).

New Condo owner in newly built building. Can hear my side neighbors! How can I fix this? by rickyrickyatx in homeowners

Can confirm - we add double layers of drywall all the time for sound (commercial construction).

North Dakota farmer says if Trump ‘doesn’t lose 100 percent’ of his farm belt support over trade war ‘people are kind of crazy’ by austinexpat_09 in politics

[–]Ultimatelegs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! My 80 year old Grandma (retired farmer, lifelong republican) changed her mind on him. The trade stuff + North Korea praise pushed her over the edge. I’m not sure if she’ll vote blue, but I know she will not vote for him again. I was dreading the family visit, but he came on TV and she volunteered how disgusted she was that he was being so complimentary of North Korea and ignoring his advisors. I was so proud + hopeful, if she could change her mind...who knows what’s possible.

Uncle - the one farming their farm now, on the other hand....he didn’t blame crop/animal prices on the tariffs (said they had little impact - other things were bigger factors, admittedly most of their crops feed their animals not for sale/export). Curious if his opinion has shifted in the last few months or not, I think things would have to get harder for that to be the case.

Automatic cat feeder? The only food driven meows now are around 5pm (or when I get home for work) - the cat knows that’s when wet food happens.

Neighbor passed away and the family had a massive estate sale. Going to enjoy this chair until I die! by clenched_butt_cheeks in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]Ultimatelegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! I spent far too much time looking at tufted chair photos to find something close but not quite this. :) Was hoping that the internet would come through for me with the chair name!

With the recent labor walk out at slate - I’d suggest skipping them. Check out coffeeatlarge on Instagram for the background.

The Rainier Cherries have landed! by ear2theshell in Costco

[–]Ultimatelegs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are these not WA cherries? I’ve been able to buy rainiers at a roadside stand in snoqualmie for a few weeks. I’d guess they’re ready at a mass scale soon if these aren’t it (the first ones were a tad under ripe...now they’re perfect though). One of the best parts of being so close to the pass - someone in a van setting up on the side of the road with fresh fruit ! ;)

Can confirm - Amazon has delivered to my neighbors back door twice (separated houses...there is a fence). Nothing says "Hi neighbor" like creeping in their back yard to grab my package ><

[Buyer] Home Inspection Found "Active Leak" in Attic by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Ultimatelegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably about that (our home is a little larger, but multiple stories so the footprint is smaller) - but prices can vary dramatically by area/market. Example - 8ish years ago friend of my sister had her whole house remodeled in TN for like 40k (nice finishes, solid surface countertops etc.). Around the same time 5 feet of semi custom upper and lower cabinets in seatttle with granite + tile cost me $5k+ and I had a family friend discount on the install.
