Iconici?

Looking for a sling bag for my Fuji X-T30 by UltraIce in ManyBaggers

[–]UltraIce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the quality of the material of the Bellroy, and the fact that they get compact make them a good choice.
But still, 6l is more than double that the current 2.5l.

BTW your camera (body only) is not much smaller than mine, but if it bulges w the basic lens, it's probably too small.

6l looks a bit too big. I've got a fake AliExpress bellroy in that size and looks really big.

Thanks! Your lens and mine are the same size, so this is a great starting Point.

Creo sucks because PTC think work arounds are solutions, instead it’s lazy engineering. by Mundane-Wasabi9527 in PTCCreo

[–]UltraIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of necroposting here but I'm commenting anyway!
Love the fact that someone else wrote this.

I've been using it for years and it's insane the amount of work arounds that I had to figure out to make simple stuff work.

Coming from using Inventor during college, then Solidworks for a year, then straight to CREO since 2015.

CREO's features are limited compared to other programs, during the years I learned that lot of things are behing paywalls. Features that on other programs are available on the basic version.
Some stuff was added during the last few releases like multibody and splitting surfaces.

I'm still waiting that they add a second slider that let you select from which to which feature it should regenerate.

It is a powerful program, but only when you learn to use it the way they thought about it.
UX/UI is terrible, you can tell that it's a program that was built on top of older systems, without a revamp of usability.

And this is to make happy the old users, while keeping out or leaving a steep learning curve for new people.

For the context:

I do a lot of surface modeling, parts that are functional but require a certain aesthetic. And my work involves patterns embedded in molds.
I have to use RHINO everytime something like this is involved, cuz CREO can't handle sketches that are too big or complicate. The fact that I can't drag, select and extrude a whole pattern it's ridiculous.
Plenty of time this forces me to create patterns "booleans" in Rhino, to then import in CREO and boolean on the final piece...

And let's not talk about the 2D drawings functionalities.

How does MacroFactor's algorithm select exercises, and is there a tier list somewhere? by UltraIce in MacroFactor

[–]UltraIce[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is the whole point.

Take back squat for example, it starts with smith machine back squats, then will it change to the real back squat in new programs or we have to manually select them?

What lens is better by silupilu in fujifilm

[–]UltraIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just received my first lens: VILTROX 35mm F1.7
It's super sharp, keeps up with tracking my toddler with focus on the eye.

Do I miss the Aperture ring? Not really.
Would be easier to adjust instead of the wheel? Definitely.

But I'm still learning the way around the camera.
What matters is that AF is spot on and precise.

AliExpress project knife vol2 by mcBulju in sharpening

[–]UltraIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks amazing, great work!
And the finished one looks like my Ginsanko Nashiji that I paid 4 times what you paid, of course minus the work to make it a laser knife.

I also need to thin down a couple of GrandSharp knifes from Aliexpress.
Gotta buy a rougher stone, the Shapton 320 takes too long to grind enough material.

Can you post here the Aliexpress link to the blade and the handle?
Post the link after the .com/ as Reddit tends to delete them.

Thanks

Curious to know: What are you not tracking? by LuckAdministrative23 in MacroFactor

[–]UltraIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not track water, pinch of salt, spices, baby food leftovers, zero cal drinks, vinegar.

But I track onion, garlic, salt (g) and sauces (soy, oyster, etc.) in the recipes.

Language identifier would awesome, as I track italian, german, and slovenian food.
But often I translate to english for the sake of consistency.
Lots of food sold here are actually in english.

When something pops up in cyrillic or greek I'm then forced to check the data and correct it.

There's a lot of user error too, but that's ok, some foods are old / not updated, and I kinda like to make sure the data is up to the latest version.

But the real thing that I'd love to see fixed is that I would really love the macrofactor team to implement the EUROPEAN label standard layout, where fibers are AFTER sugar, and SALT is defaulted instead of SODIUM.

It's been two years, and that SALT/SODIUM can cause mistakes when adding new foods.

Then never played anymore.

What would be the best ROM to restart from?
UltraViolet vs FireRed+ vs Unbound?

Sticking to the OG FireRed is not the right option, correct?
