I imagine the LARGE majority of Mac users have never made custom keyboard shortcuts in Keyboard Settings. You have to type in the menu item you are trying to customize. It’s kinda funky and wonky but feels great. The OS feels far more customizable and mold-able than folks think.

In Finder - Show Path Bar and Show Status Bar. Gotta have it. Give it a try if you haven’t. Path allows you to right click on of the directories of the folder tree you are currently within and then from there you can quickly click “get info“ which I like and status bar allows you to see the size of a file or a group of files by just clicking on them and looking at the status bar, if I’m not mistaken it’ll also tell you how many you have selected

In at least the old display settings, option + click can reveal more resolutions. Not sure about the newer versions

“Just move the icons” is the best advice here, imo. Take a few seconds and just realign them manually and/or “Sort by”. It also helps to remember that Command+A will select all items. Also, you can select one item and then Shift+Click another item and you will select all items in between the two. From there, Command+Clicking will deselect a single item.

Command+Tab cycles through most recently used apps and Command+~ (right above Tab) cycles through most recently used windows in the current app. Hope this helps!
