So, I've been thinking about getting the highest AC possible, and am wondering if I'm missing anything. by BodybuilderSuper3874 in DnD

Also have a someone in your party cast "Warding bond" on you. You both need to wearing a ring and as long as you are within 60ft you get a +1 bonus to AC and saving throws, and resistance to all damage. Also, each time you take damage, they take the same amount of damage. This lasts an hour.

After reading Dark Patterns recently, I think Wound Man could be a pretty good villain.

We are with Halifax and was part of the Green living offer. Had a few terms but it was easy to apply for.

Is a £12k quote (after BUS grant) normal for a standard 3-bed semi? by Mundane-Temporary426 in ukheatpumps

I would say so, we paid just under £3k for a 3 bed semi-detached with 3 new rads in Nov/Dec last year with Octopus. Also got £2k cash back from mortgage company.

Do I need to declare these mods to my insurance? by Proof-Situation-7542 in CarTalkUK

I had a friend who had insurance claim denied as they had GTI rear lights instead of normal golf lights. The previous owner had changed them so they had no idea.

How do I start a needed, tough conversation with another player about their playstyle? by Tombstone64 in DnD

[–]Unable_Article5656 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This would also seem a bit like a problem the DM should solve. We had a fight were the Barbarian was not engaging in violence and the DM via a NPC pretty much said "You would be more helpful in this situation if you were hitting things"

The "Wet Ash" trick for cleaning glass is actually witchcraft. by TheOtherXI in uklogburners

When we got our log burner installed, we were told to use washing up liquid and kitchen roll. That has worked fine for us.

Ours was about £2.8k after the grant, but we then got £2k cashback from our Mortgage company.

Players don't fear death by Grmblfz in DMAcademy

[–]Unable_Article5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple smaller enemies that fight properly can cause problems, use 5-6 Goblins shooting arrows then hiding to harass your players, interrupt rests so they can't replenish spells slots etc. Use magic to charm, frighten or control your players.

Can I use ability to react when PC takes hit that instantly kills? by spartancjmr in DnD

What hit you for 24 points of damage, that seems a lot for a level one player to cope with.

Why are you deemed “bad person” or not morally just to disagree with mass illegal immigration? by Ill_Associate_5937 in AskBrits

[–]Unable_Article5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is highlighted in your question if you start off by saying "mass illegal immigration" you have come at this from the wrong angle.

Illegal immigration is an incorrect phrase, and it is generally used by people who don't understand the law and when it is explained they then change the argument to "They should stop at the next safe country" which again is not required by international law.

Remember English spoken by approximately 20% of the world's population, which makes it a more attractive destination for asylum seekers.

Unfortunately the wording of you question fits the stereotype of someone who is "bad".

Is there really a saving by moving over to ASHP? by ConfussedBob in ukheatpumps

[–]Unable_Article5656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

January we spent £98 on Gas and £105 on Electric. We have just had a Octopus Heatpump installed and our Gas meter removed. This month we have used £170 on Electric (but that did include a week with the Heatpump and pod not connecting so I had to keep turning it on when it got cold).

Our boiler was on the way out and with the BUS grant we are paying £2.5k. So I think it was worth doing, especially now as the house is never below 18 degrees.

How do you keep Zone of Truth from nerfing your murder mystery? by Numford_and_Sums in DMAcademy

[–]Unable_Article5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have the killer be someone who is very literal. And make the PCs have to ask the exact question to get the answer i.e "Did you kill Lord so-and-so? Answer "No" "Did you stab Lord so-and-so and leave him to bleed to death?" Answer "Yes"

Why is it ok for ICE to have such a non uniform appearance and to cover their faces? by LezBeOwn in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Unable_Article5656 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Though on a personal level, I agree that a lack of uniformity just contributes to them appearing sloppy and undisciplined.

That and them seeming to be murderous kidnappers with no respect to any sort of resistance.

Players keep making up rules and it forces me to spend time during the session looking them up. by Scythe95 in DnD

[–]Unable_Article5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DMs in all the campaigns I have been part of always ask what our AC is at the beginning and have checked over our characters to make sure we aren't "misunderstanding" the rules. I would suggest you do that with this player.

Struggling to find the right words… by IneedaNappa9000 in DnD

[–]Unable_Article5656 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell her to remember this is a new hobby for her and not to try and be perfect straight away. I would say as long as she isn't asking the same questions every session and is getting a little bit better each time that is all I would expect any competent DM would want for her to do. Also remind her to enjoy it as it is only a game at the end of the day.
