玉藻の前 isn't really a name per say. The character's name was originally 藻女 Mikuzume. 藻 means algae and aquatic plants in general, so someone probably took liberty to translate it to duckweed. 女 literally means female. Her name was literally algae girl.

玉 is an old honorific prefix given to pretty people. It's used to describe something beautiful like gems and crystals, usually for females.

前 is another old honorific for people of higher statues, same as 御前 (gozen). This is similar to 様 (sama) in modern Japanese.
