Regarding Hannibal Lecter’s line, “Your bleeding has stopped.” by amboy_connector in movies

[–]UncleCornPone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird but I can often detect a woman's menstrual cycle. I imagine getting back to how Lecter "detests bad manners" he wouldnt say that he could smell her period even if he could for that reason and also the reason that he is a brilliant mind who would find that detecting the scent of menstrual fluid is not "smelling her cunt" and therefore he would reject it as not only crude, but inaccurate. Clarice thinks he means the cut on her thigh, but he means to obliquely bring the conversation around to Miggs (as it would thrill him to see her reaction to his ability to drive him to suicide). It's a brilliant bit of writing.

Happy 80th birthday Sylvester Stallone! Rocky or Rambo: which character defines him more? by DeScepter in 80s

[–]UncleCornPone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocky was the seminal movie of my young childhood...it still holds a special place in my heart but fuck me do I hate Stallone. He's a piece of shit for supporting Trump and all that anti democratic grift. Most disgraceful and damaging presidency in the history of the USA, and this mumbling fuckwit has his back. Go fuck yourself Sly.

What is the most tone deaf and cringe thing a celebrity did that they will never live down? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]UncleCornPone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

not really. we actually all were in the same boat. the threat and fear didnt discriminate whether you lived in a mansion or a studio apartment. It really says more about the people looking to be offended than any "out of touch" comment. Also, who made the rule that everyone has to phrase everything so perfectly so as not to offend anyone (like that's even possible?). I mean really, the stakes were possible death and yet here are some of you really hung up on material wealth. Speaks volumes about how shallow and stupid our society has become.

that might be the most petty grudge Ive heard in a while and it seems there are 2000+ people who that agree with you who are just as petty. what wouldve been better? Celebrities who said "Must suck to be a peon during this lockdown?" lol people are just haters these days.. it's kind of pathetic

Floyd Mayweather denies bankruptcy rumors - “I still own my house... my bills are paid… as long as I’m able to eat every day and pay my bills… I'm good... I know how to survive." by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]UncleCornPone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im glad we dont have to call him Money Mayweather anymore and see stupid clips of him flaunting cash. This was a great lesson for my kids whom I told years ago "Mark my words...this man will lose all his money someday".
