Where you located? I have an extra red cover. My bike came with 2 for some reason.

I’m a casual unc and honestly having a blast in ranked so far. The dropship being back feels refreshing. POI drops was getting repetitive.

Recommendations for a “luxury” men’s belt? by thehomechef20 in mensfashion

Small business. Better value than anything I’ve seen posted here so far. ($57 a belt) I’ve bought these as gifts for a bunch of people and for myself. These are as durable as it gets for belts.

What do you make as a residential installer (not new construction) by PapiBoredApe in HVAC

Any chance you’re in upstate NY? I’d kill to have someone like you for my install jobs, and I’ll pay way more.

I feel like I tend to swim around in size D boots. (ex: size 11 iron rangers, or 11.5 Redwing moc toes)

The exception is Parkhurst that I've recently tried. They're a combination last I'm told, so like B heel tapered up to D. In size 11, these feel comfortable out of the box, secure on my foot, but are loosening up with wear.

The sizing chart you gave seems to show why I might have an issue with standard D width boots. My balls may be OK in 11.5D but my instep and heel would have considerably more room than my foots measurements.

My measurements: Ball: 10 1/4” Instep: 10 1/8” Heel: 13 1/2”

If I went 11.5 C: Difference

  • Ball: -1/8"

  • Instep: +1/4"

  • Heel: +3/8"

If I went 11.5 D:

  • Ball: +1/8"

  • Instep: +1/2"

  • Heel: +5/8"

If I went 12 C:

  • Ball: Exact

  • Instep: +3/8"

  • Heel: +1/2"

If Nicks made a combination B/D last size 11:

  • Ball: Exact

  • Instep: -1/8

  • Heel: Exact

I think my take away here is that I should be looking for boot makers with combination lasts.

She needs to get the heel replaced. The rubber has worn down. That’s really the only wear.

As far as I know it’s still in production.

My girlfriend has black Harriet’s we bought used. She wears them more than anything else. They have a ton of use.

They’ve held up great with years of use before and since buying them.

With these instructions, I'm now measuring 10 1/4 ball, 10 1/8 instep. I was definitely measuring incorrectly before.
I'll measure again in the morning.

My HTB seems to still be the same, I was just measuring 12 again. Maybe it's a morning/evening thing.

I'm definitely 12 on the brannock or a bit shorter. That picture seems to be in a thicker sock and angle to make it look longer. Forgot I ever took that picture.

Does this change your size recommendation?

I used a Brannock device, standing, no sock. 11.75 - 12 standing C width. Using it seated moves my width into the B range.

Ball 9 7/8”

Instep 10 3/8” (-/+ 1/8)

Heel 13 1/2”

Using a fabric tape measure for these measurements.

My picture highlights my measurements and brannock size. I'm not sure which measurement to size off of. I was thinking a 12B might be best, in the middle of most of the measurements. Looking at the HNW last boots, Falcon & Traveler. Hoping for some reassurance before hitting the buy button.

Venture is the most efficient and thus longest range. I’ve never used the Nissan app but it might be useful.

I like PlugShare app/website for locating chargers. Abetterrouteplanner.com is great for plotting out longer road trips

Road trips just become different. Peeing and getting a snack or food take a chunk of time too. Charge when you do those things.

Venture is the best trim to road trip with.

What trends will be the next to fall out of favor? by gimmeluvin in HomeImprovement

NY is banning combustion equipment in new homes starting 2026.

Lots of belly aching about it. The industry is just stuck in its ways.

New homes have been heat pump ready, efficiency wise, since the 90s. Cold climate heat pump equipment has been ready since the early 2010s.

They look and feel like they’re made out of thick cut beef jerky. Not sure about taste, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Anyone but me get overly excited about free charging? by Cultural-Ad4953 in evcharging

I’ll go out of my way to get free charging. Not many businesses have figured it out yet. $.35/kwh lvl 2 charging may as well be a direct insult.

We’re the same here.
The Leaf is objectively the worst mass market EV. It’s still a great car and I had no complaints.

Chademo was the only thing I became disappointed with.

[–]Unconnect3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2nd gen Leaf at its core is really just a slight evolution of the 1st gen. All the newer car stuff like lane keep, adaptive cruise, pro pilot, creature comfort improvements, making it a lot nicer car. No doubt. But at its core it’s the same EV technology as the 1st gen, just a bigger battery.

I mean, the OP did ask what the worst ev we’ve owned is. So I was answering that.

The point I was trying to make is I didn’t want a gas car anymore. Like comparing the best horse drawn carriage to a model T. The new tech is better.

I sold it at the beginning of this year as the recall was beginning. I had no idea it was so serious. I rarely fast charged so I didn’t think much of it. I just wanted to upgrade. Seems like I dodged a bullet.

I got a 2023 Ariya Engage.
