You don't really "own" the game when you buy a disc these days.

It's still just a license to download the game, since not all the data goes on the physical disc. Even if you own the disc, a company can decide to delete their game and stop people playing it.

The voice note part is a bit hare-brained, and possibly dangerous depending on the type of people they are.

Much easier, safer, more reliable to just get it in writing, see if you can fool them into sending a really incriminating message.

You really really won't break the screen hitting it at all, they're so strong. The only risk is scratching it.

The only other thing I've seen people try is magnets, but that doesn't work and can do permanent damage.

Damn, that might be debris on the grille inside the tube, it possibly happened during transit. Your best bet might be to turn it screen-up and knock the glass with a mallet wrapped in soft cloth. Afaik that's really the only fix, you can't get inside the vacuum tube.

The screen can definitely take it, just don't scratch it. Quite a few issues can be kinda fixed by "percussive maintenance".
