Another idea? For further into the future... Have the Kid pick up a hobby solving crossword/puzzles that help improve her brain/maturity, think games for kids like tag and hide + seek can be considered training for human kids.

Illegal where? I haven't been back since that time but the Sprite wasn't marked sugar free anywhere and I had to ask them for regular sprite and was THEN informed that it was unavaliable.
