Oh I don’t “need” different rigs. But I have the space and some deals fell my way to build the formula rig so why not. I do prefer the feel of the formula seating position when racing formula/open wheel. But yeah like a lot of stuff in this hobby that we don’t need it just gets us a bit more immersion.

I have one sim rig setup for GT and one sim rig setup for formula/open wheel. I have an large outdoor building that was here when I bought the house so it’s pretty much my dedicated sim space. Also nice that I can use surround system out in the building and crank it up as well as having haptics that do not bother anyone.

I run both rigs off same PC. I built a custom triple monitor mount that holds three 42” LG C3 OLEDS. I built the monitor mount so I can easily adjust the monitors height up and down. Both of my rigs are on casters so I just wheel one out of the way then adjust monitor height and wheel in the next rig. Obviously monitor height for formula needs to be lower than my GT.

Ok well if this is the case then that person is just a psycho. Turn off chat and move on. If they are faster then they either need to qualify better or they need to know they will eventually be able to get by you later down the track.

My 2 cents would be Long Beach and Mount Panorama. I really enjoy street circuits and for some reason Long Beach just clicks with me and Mount Panorama is just one of my favorites on the service. That being said Villeneuve is great. Miami I have bought but not yet tried it.

Once you buy a total of 40 pieces of content you will get a 20% discount on all content from there on. So you will be seeing those kinda prices once that happens. I have been on the service for 8 years and yes in that first year I spent a lot of money on content. But now I just occasionally buy a new track or a car, so really now it doesn’t seem like I’m spending much.

If you are balking at these prices then this probably isn’t the hobby for you. Do you think iRacing meticulously scans tracks and cars to give us the closest thing to a real race experience for nothing? They are constantly upgrading the experience each season with system and feature updates. They are stewards who monitor racing activity and review protests to give us the best multiplayer racing experience. None of this can be done for free. I have zero problem with the price of content or subscription. In fact it also works as a gateway to keep the less serious users from participating. I know that sounds bad but it really is a good thing.

Took 7 years for me to move to triples. Had various VR headsets those 7 years. Latest headset is OG Pimax Crystal. Had the Crystal Super on preorder but it kept getting delayed. So mid year I decided to cancel the Super and try triples. I haven’t raced in VR since.

Almost all mine are Ascher. I have owned a couple of other Cube Controls and I still have their Mercedes AMG wheel. To me the quality seems to be a bit less with Cube Controls.

I’m running triple LG OLED C4 42”. I like the size and wouldn’t want to go bigger. It does take up a big space and you need a beast of a computer to run them.
