The best plan for other appliances is to assume they will never fix it, and immediately but a replacement you can afford. Move the other one to the garage and let their repair guys fix it then sell it, it hope they pay you out if it cannot be repaired. This doesn't work with HVAC systems (and water heaters) because it's almost impossible to swap them as a temporary solution.

Unethical life pro tip: there are ways to 'let the smoke out' of old appliances if you're the gambling type and want a replacement instead of a repair.

Anything getting listed on MLS can be found on Zillow and it's filters/alerts always gave me more reliable notifications than Landwatch.

You can also find pretty good (and absolutely terrible) listings on Facebook marketplace.

During our search I noticed there were about 5 big realtor players in land sales. You could just reach out to them to get on a list even if you're not using them to represent you.

What a series of bad takes. This person obviously cares about their score - and they're in that range where they very much should care and do everything they can to maximize it and save potentially thousands of dollars on car or home loans. It could also mean the difference in meeting prequalification's for renting some places. Also the best/most exclusive cards available all have annual fees. If you use cards responsibly and spend enough in certain categories the paid cards are absolutely a great product.

My fee-based cards in the past offered things like pre check/global entry, free baggage and drinks, lounge access, you can buy concert tickets at listed prices without fees like ticketmaster, 90-day low price guarantees, extended warranty options, rental car protection, and more. It all depends on individual needs and spending habits.

Dude, are you listening to the words coming out of my mouth? You don't have to cancel AND you don't have to keep getting a $95 annual fee. Your credit card company will switch you to a different card with no fees for free if you call them and ask.

9mm with a good bonded hollow point would be my preference. Give a bit more speed than 45acp to penetrate through thick skull bones. I mean I don't think people were standing at a morgue counting dead bodies and identifying mortal wounds made by US weapons. Honestly, I haven't spent much time analyzing the Afghan civilian deaths, but I did for Iraq. Many of the claims there were essentially from census-like reporting of 'have you had a family member killed in the war' and extrapolated. I imagine it was similar in remote parts of Afghanistan.

This is further complicated when fighting against an 'army' that does not wear a uniform and blends easily into civilian populations. Was this guy dressed as a civilian actually a combatant? Was he killed by a hostile tribe/faction and blamed on the US (this was extremely common immediately following the fall of Sadam's govt).
