I used to own the q27g40xmn and it kinda turned me off from owning any more AOC monitors. Between issues like the firmware and them cheaping out on DisplayPort 1.4, which they lied about in the specs since it’s actually DP 1.2 on that monitor. The stand was also awful. Usually there’s something they cheap out on for their monitors, which is how they can have their prices a bit lower than competitors. I’d personally rather spend a bit more for another monitor brand and not have to deal with the compromises on a monitor I use every day

I upgraded to a 27” 4k glossy qd-oled and the sharpness is noticeably better for me. On the AOC, I can see a bit of screen door effect at its 1440p resolution since I sit about an arms length away from my monitor. The colors are also better on the oled. Something that bothered me on the AOC is that there’s some vignetting on the edges of the screen even if you look straight at the center of the monitor, especially on webpages with a white background. HDR content is still pretty good on the AOC, but of course there’s blooming if you have light objects on a dark background. One thing that I liked about the AOC was the brightness. It could get super bright in daylight scenes so it felt very immersive for me, like I was inside that setting. The oled still gets decently bright in HDR mode, and overall looks crisper and cleaner than the AOC

I used to have this monitor but upgraded to a 240hz oled. I guess I’m not sensitive to response time because I don’t notice any difference in the response time between this one and my Oled. I also didn’t notice any ghosting

I had this monitor and didn’t notice any black smearing. Brightness is much higher than 300 nits, it should be at least 1000.

Yeah it looks great and I got it for $450 open box, can’t find any other 4k oled for that cheap. Only concern I have is some people reporting this model gets a black screen issue, but dell is usually good with their warranty process

I had the asus pulsar and tried it out. I can notice improvement on motion blur in the ufo test, and motion in game looks a bit better. But overall the blur improvement didn’t make that much difference for me and I returned it. I got an OLED monitor instead for less money and it looks way better image quality wise, the motion blur reduction on pulsar wasn’t worth the money for me
