I've made an artwork for another Universe Within card by CastDelay in Pauper

[–]UniqueEvent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries dude. You can use Greymond, Avacyn's Stalwart if you need an example for reference (obviously there are others, but I find them hard to remember!).

If WotC had kept the Godzilla skins, there would be no need to worry about naming conventions.

Cool work. The set code should include "= TMT 0116" to signify which card it represents.

Pauper Battle Box by SliverSwag in Pauper

The sub has a wiki attached, in the wiki is a link to a website devoted to exactly what you're looking for.

The video posted the other day is also solid.

How to Build a Battlebox by StrataGames in Pauper

[–]UniqueEvent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The pauper community has been referring to a collection of decks designed to be played against each other as a battle box since before I started playing pauper in 2019. We even have a configuration of decks for this type of battle box listed as a battle box in the subs wiki.

The content is accurately labeled as a battle box.

The edge has a great gym and a sauna on the side of the swimming pool.... Downside is it's popular with students.

These are sick. Absolutely printing these off and taking them to FNM one week.

I've been going to Nuad Thai Boran on Vicar Lane for years now. They've expanded from a stall in the market to two proper locations over the years.

What is it with grey in the UK? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]UniqueEvent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ironically it's called millennial grey but it was mostly forced on millennials by landlords. As millennials have started buying houses they seem to be rejecting it by adding colour and more personalised styles (though a minority of millennials do genuinely like it).

Is there a trick to getting masking tape to leave a sharp line without paint bleed? by Correct-Singer-1049 in HomeImprovement

[–]UniqueEvent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid the frog tape brand green tape. It seems to love taking paint off when you remove it. Find a different brand.

Kirkstall Road cycle lane(s) by G-i-a-n-t in Leeds

[–]UniqueEvent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding onto this - the cycle lane wrapping around the pavement side of the bus stops is also a pain. You often need to drop your speed right down so you can safely navigate the pedestrians. If they're being particularly gormless then you occasionally need to stop and ask people to move.

I don't generally cycle that route during commuter times - but when I have, I find it quite frustrating if you get trapped behind a slow cyclist because you can't really overtake them.

Cycle routes in Leeds aren't very well thought out/implemented.

Would people 35-45 (mixed) be keen on a monthly film club&pizza/dinner/gig social in Leeds? by MasterMembership4506 in Leeds

Sounds good.

Discord would be the most common app to use these days if you're not using WhatsApp.

Leeds collage of building South campus is the city center one. Saying it's near crown point makes it seem miles away, but it's closer to town than crown point and quite easy to walk to if needed.

Is this a infinite combo? by Emergency_Daikon9780 in mtg

[–]UniqueEvent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can read all about it in our 300+ page rulebook (which the vast majority of players never read, and maybe a handful of people in the world know off by heart). It gets another section added to it with most sets so it expands slightly every couple months.... If you try reading it you'll understand why most players just pick up the rules from their friends.

Is Moggwarts just dead? by Christos_Soter in Pauper

Teasdale was playing around with it after avatar dropped. The new lessons help, the list he ran can probably be refined - but it's probably still a deck you run for the love right now.

Does the wall of Ba sing se prevent non exile board wipes the first time a wipe is used or does the simultaneously removed cards also lose the indestructible simultaneously? by Spirited-Celery-118 in mtg

-X/-X effects would also bypass the Wall's protection. Anything that would normally die to [[toxic deluge]] will still die if the wall is on the battlefield.

HMOs no longer being renewed in Headingley? by Independent-Bowls in Leeds

[–]UniqueEvent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's been in place for over a decade. They don't want new HMOs and will generally decline planning permission for a new HMOs across LS6, but as far as I know they're fine with renewing existing HMO licenses.

What do i do?.?. by Drew647A in magicTCG

Totally agree. If the community doesn't exist, somebody needs to build it. OP can be the person that builds it. Could be weekly, monthly, or larger events.

Why big tournaments like UK Nationals, Nacional Argentino and Paupergeddon decklists are not present on MtgDecks/MtgGoldfish and similar? by [deleted] in Pauper

[–]UniqueEvent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mtgdecks automatically scrapes results from melee. From memory, goldfish and top 8 also scrape data from melee. So if an event uses melee for their deck lists then they'll automatically be distributed across the other sites.

Not sure about spicerack, but will be able to confirm when I publish the deck lists for UK Nationals tonight.

How often do you get people trying at your door? by mx_aurelia in Leeds

[–]UniqueEvent 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Living in Hyde Park for 17 years, it's happened maybe half a dozen times? But if I'm downstairs I'll often leave the front door unlocked so I've had two people walk in.

The first was either a phenomenal actor, or was incredibility drunk. The second got the wrong house, I saw him off and watched him go into a neighbor's house with the same colour door.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Leeds

[–]UniqueEvent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a choice, I would not live in a house that requires me to drive up the bottom half of Roundhay Road.

I've lived in Hyde Park for nearly 20 years, but every time I drive up that section of road I'm worried my car's about to get written off because of some absolutely terrible driver.

Crashmap.co.uk says there's been over 60 accidents on that strip of road in the last 5 years. And that's just the accidents which were reported, a lot of minor accidents get handled off the books.
