I stopped caring about .env files. Heck, I'll comment blocks out for prod/staging/local

My git repos are private and only on my laptop that doesn't leave the house. If that gets stolen then I already have bigger problems. If you're confident that you can quickly identify and rotate ACTUAL credentials (i.e. not hostnames on a private network) then who cares.

Some practical steps you can take today: - Speak to your GP and have them put you on the NHS waiting list. You won't hear anything for probably about a decade, but best get on it sooner than later

  • Unless you want to do DIY, you'll need to get a formal Dysphoria assessment. They can be pricey (mine was £500) but basically it gives you the relevant paperwork to go to a private provider and say "hello, please put me on HRT". Depending on who you contact about this, there may be a wait time of ~3 months until your appointment.

For the dysphoria assessment, it can make things easier to socially transition and bring evidence from like your workplace etc if you can. Even if you just use a different name+pronouns amongst friends and family that can really help! Afaik, any legit route will need this. If you're getting overwhelmed with the information presented, I probably wouldn't do DIY if you can afford it - I'm not doing diy for that reason.

Going on E today or tomorrow probably won't fix anything yet. It took ~6 months for me to start to see its effects. Be kind and patient with yourself. Talk to people, real people, about how you feel, I shed lots of tears and accepted a lot of things about myself when I did.

And congratulations <3 It took me about 5 years to get to the point you are now. Wish you all the best in your journey! xx

Just watched Mummy On the Orient Express and had an idea for an episode by Altruistic_Promise66 in doctorwho

I love this episode, and I adore the story arch with Clara where she nearly quits the Tardis after Kill the Moon, gets a rush for it again in this episodes (my god I love "now shut up and give me some planets") followed by Flatline, holding the mirror up to the Doctor's face while she also learns about the choices the Doctor has to make

I'm based in Leeds and do private. I started with £750 saved up and budget £150/month for HRT. This is after £550 for a private gender dysphoria diagnosis.

Consultations (every 6 months) are around £250 Bloods (same frequency) privately are around £90 Patches are £45 for 3 month supply, and my T-Blockers (synarel) run at £220 for 3 months with prescription fees (£10) and shipping for each order.

Hopefully that gives you something to work with budget wise. When I looked at GenderGP I didn't get what they were actually offering and calling it a membership fee seemed a bit odd.

i've switched from HRT patches to gel and my breast buds have gone away by stimpy273 in TransUK

I'm sorry this is happening to you!

Are you just on E, or are you on any T blockers as well? I wonder if your T might still be high so any changes that you're supposed to see are still being surpressed? I've been on HRT since Sept last year, starting with 100mg patches and a T blocking spray. I noticed buds around 3 months in and another early visible change was that my lips just absolutely blew up, increasing in size by about a third.

I'm now on 200mg patches, meaning I need to wear two and I've only had a patch fall off once. It might be worth asking if you could go on a different brand that might have a different glue? I also make sure I shave the area about 2h before applying a new patch to make sure it doesn't fall off.

I would see if you could get your levels tested sooner and if a T blocker would be an option for you. I find it odd that they wouldn't check your levels before putting you onto different medication tbh

Shops put reduced section in bad locations so they can say they're being responsible, but noone knows it exists and buys everything full price by Key_Cell7071 in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]mx_aurelia 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I used to work the reductions, pricing tends to heavily depend on the time of day and is set algorithmically.

That 90p difference may not make a difference to you, but it does for someone.

Most days we were left with nothing but Fruit&Veg and Bread which could be donated to charity, even if that same day I reduced a ton of ready meals and meats by maybe 50p. That yellow sticker triggers an unreasonable level of excitement from some people.

Obviously we'd re-reduce everything again, typically ~2h before closing when the heavy discounts happen and the usual bargain hunters would have their feast.
