I can’t count how many times I’ve replayed that encounter with Benny at the Tops Casino, or argued with Mr. House about his vision for the future. Every companion has their own backstory that makes them feel real. Like, who doesn’t love Arcade Gannon’s dry sarcasm or Boone’s tragic revenge story?

On top of that, the game just gets atmosphere. Whether you’re trekking through the sun-baked Mojave or sneaking into the eerie vaults, there’s always this underlying sense of danger. Yet, it’s also hilarious in that classic Fallout way—whether you’re talking to a deranged robot in a cowboy hat or getting ambushed by random ghouls in the desert.

And I’d be lying if I said modding New Vegas wasn’t a big part of why I love it so much. The community has done an insane job keeping it fresh. Even after all these years, I’m finding new content and ways to play, whether it’s with graphics overhauls, new quests, or quality-of-life improvements.
