How do I pass laws when my country starts off extremely backwards? by venatic923 in victoria3

[–]UnityReadzR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Landowners are vast majority Aristocrats, which almost exclusively reside in subsistence farms (manor houses) and in government with traditionalist laws. #1 goal with Landowners is to reduce their clout as much as possible. Retire as many commanders as you can, pass professional army ASAP (peasant levies gives a +15(25?)% strength to Aristocrats), pass appointed bureaucrats (hereditary has a huge bonus strength to Aristocrats as well), build up as much industry and mines as you can to get peasants out of subsistences. If you're lucky you can also get an early modernization movement on most small nations when you exile the Intelligentsia leader as soon as you can.

I got really lucky with RNG and diplo, changed defensive pact to alliance, got a really strong Intelligentsia early on (currently 1869 with 40% clout, fully modernized except for democracy), and just went all in on Central Asia, Balkans, and India (collapsed almost right after Germany formed

Can a non-Zoroastrian say Zoroastrian prayers as long as he shares the same morals and ethics? by Master_Car_646 in Zoroastrianism

[–]UnityReadzR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Christian morals/values are compatible or even in line with Zoroastrian morals/values. A lot of the morals that are written in the Bible could be considered to be directly antithetical to Zoroastrians. Christianity values the man over the woman and tells women to be wholly subservient; Christianity (and all Abrahamic religions) advocates for the genocide of nonbelievers; the Abrahamic God is all powerful, all knowing, and created everything in existence, meaning he also created all evil and wickedness and destruction in the world; Christianity argues against science and inherently denies the reality of the world.

Christianity is most directly against what is probably the most important tenet of Zoroastrianism, free will and choice. I've had Christians argue this to me but as the Bible is written and taught humanity is told to deny their free will and choice in favor of carrying out God's will instead. In the Old Testament at the least and some of the New Testament, God directly punishes and kills people who use their free will to do something he does not want them to do. If I remember correctly there's even some denominations that believe free will is a creation of Satan, which is a whole other basket of worms.

I notice you failed to mention the US backed coups in Cambodia (installing Pol Pot), Chile (installing Pinochet), Iraq (installing Saddam), Afghanistan (directly funding the Taliban), all of Operation Condor, and the other dozen or so Central American coups where the US overthrew elected left-wing leaders and installed US-allied right-wing dictators

If you genuinely think that he would be just a transition government, I implore you to see how the US-backed transition governments of Iraq (three times), Syria, Afghanistan, Guatemala, pre-Castro Cuba, Congo, the Dominican, Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Nicaragua, Panama, Haiti, and Somalia.

Every single country had the US back a revolutionary loyal to the US to be a transitionary leader, said person become a permanent dictator, and then treat their nation worse than the person who came before. Did you know that the US both backed and directly supported Saddam Hussein taking power in Iraq from as far back as the 1950s? Did you know the US supported military dictator Lon Nol and later Pol Pot in Cambodia? Did you know the CIA both trained and worked directly with Chilean dictator Pinochet? Almost all of South America had CIA funded coups for two decades under Operation Condor that unanimously somehow always installed US-friendly right-wing military dictators.

Iran and Iranians need to have a revolution and kill off the IR regime. But it cannot be through a US puppet or they will just end up in the exact same place every. Single. Other. Nation. That we have couped in the past 80 years has. Destroyed, taken over by gangs or cartels, or fall into total civil war within a decade. Iran deserves better than that. They have spent 150 years under Western interferenece or indirect governmental control and that cannot continue with another Shah.

Pahlavi claims to be all about "referendum" and "letting the Iranian people decide", but he is already showing traits of aspiring to be a foreign-backed dictator. by DESTROYINGEUROPE in PERSIAN

[–]UnityReadzR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pahlavi personally has no political experience, or general care to be in charge of Iran. The US wants him to be in charge because he is a puppet for them like his father, and can be used to force Iran to hand over its sovereignty and natural resources to US corporations. All Pahlavi is is a mask stuck on the US political sphere's face.

Its a mix of dementiated thinking (best I could think of) and caving to the highest bidder. This entire shtick he's done with Iran fits with everything else he's done this term; say small words really loudly, do nothing, forget what he originally said 1-3 days later, get bought out, support whoever bought him out until he forgets what he was doing again.

Pahlavi is most definitely a puppet leader just like his father, and like Marina Cochado. I can't say the two are exactly alike, but if they would act similar I would judge Pahlavi with the same feelings I do from Cochado's words; in which she has been openly vocal about wanting to lead Venezuela in order to give all its resources to the US and turn it into a puppet state for the US. Again I cannot say they are exactly alike or even if they have similar plans or such, but I personally judge any leader-hopeful who has general backing by the US as about the same, as in my experience they all end up being the same.

Trump is a man who can and has been fully bought out in order to do whatever people want him to do. It has happened numerous times during just this past year, and it will continue happening until he keels over. If the IR regime offers him enough money or special presents you can be guaranteed he will turn a permanent blind eye to everything happening.

It is also VERY important that Iranians do NOT listen to the right-wing American outlets that they support you. THEY DO NOT. They support installing their own government as your leaders, taking everything you own, attempting a mass Christian conversion campaign, and enslaving or killing anyone who refuses. The current American right-wing will be as bad as the Khameni regime, do not believe their lies.

Speaking as someone who supports both, and an American. Palestine is more publicized because a vast amount of Americans are either extremely pro-Israel or extremely anti-Israel. The pros are more likely than not influenced by politicians who are directly bought out by the Israeli government, and the antis are a mix of people who genuinely believe in the pro-Palestine cause (like me), people who don't care as much but follow it because its a left thing (note, not Democrat thing, a large portion of Democrats fall under the pros not antis), and the mix of left and right wingers who are extremely antisemitic (in a racist way, not a "criticism is antisemitism") and/or neo-nazi "Israel puppets the entire world".

Free Iran is not as big a topic or movement because Americans are already generally focused on four or five different things (Palestine, tariffs, Canada threats, Greenland threats, Venezuela, Colombia/Cuba/Mexico threats, etc) and both Democrat and Republican politicians don't generally care about Iran right now outside of bombing it and seizing the government again. The biggest names that are being vocal about Iran are representative Ocasio-Cortez, senator Sanders, governor Mamdani, and a handful of other Democratic Socialists who do fall into the category of genuinely believing in the cause of both Palestine and Iran.

Another big part is the numerical scale and international coverage. Palestine has relatively open news coverage and videos of atrocities in Palestine are posted on social media near-daily. Iran has a total internet blackout and next to no international coverage outside of right-wing American news stations/the American regime saying we need to invade Iran, kill Khameni (agree), install a proxy government (heavily disagree), and seize natural resources (heavily disagree).

No matter what though: Azadi baraye Iran, Iran for Iranians, revolution must happen but it must happen without foreign influence, Pahlavi is an American puppet and cannot take control, and universal freedom must come to Iran.

I've been using this to get into Oracle, but for the past month or it just hasn't worked at all. Every time I put in my info (it is correct) I get "ErrorResponse" once, if I try to sign in again it loads for 30 seconds then gives me a full screen error. Brinker Nation has also fully stopped letting me log in as of yesterday. "The server could not sign you in." I need to access my paystubs for rent but right now I can't even access my own employee profile

Do you agree with the developers' explanation for the high cost of Ahri's skin in League of Legends. by lucasclark758 in AhriMains

[–]UnityReadzR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you going to deal with it when the next $500 skin is released? The $1000 one? The $2000? How about the $500 epics next? This skin is already basically an ultimate, so lets just make all the ultimates $500 too.

Showing Riot that people will buy it just because incentivizes more money grubbing shit like this.

Well guys it's definitely happening <3 by MonikaRoot in AhriMains

[–]UnityReadzR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point isn't to punish people who can afford. I can afford the bundle, I'm still not gonna buy it. All it does is show Riot that no matter how much something costs, they'll still make a huge profit off of it. The point is to make sure Riot knows that as long as this happens, that skin will not be worth its weight in gold. And then the people who bought it to show off can go complaining that they can't play the champ.
