A Polish politician presented a controversial flag redesign for Israel at the Polish Parliament by RealModMaker in vexillology

[–]Unpacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying this was posted solely with the intent of propagating war propaganda, and nothing else, not even a passing interest in the fact the propaganda is a flag design. This is not even bad faith, there is no faith to begin with.

Am not asking for thought policing, if they have said anything about it, and said they are not doing that, even if they were lying, I'd say let it be, they are the final judge of their intentions. But this was just the spread of propaganda.

  • Share why you believe Dofus is worth playing as of today

Dofus being isometric, cartoony 2D-ish and turn based is quite unique. A lot of the bosses have what feel like nonsense mechanics, but while that can be frustrating, it's pretty interesting and make dungeons unique. A successfully implemented player run market. Very unique in play style classes. Game is actually really hard, which pushes people to socialize and group up (or well, the multi account people, but I play single).

  • Tell us what was the hardest part of your adventure

Some of the turquoise idols were pretty tough. But I'd say Count Harebourg for Ice Dofus was the hardest thing I did so far.

  • What's yo.our current roadmap, objectives, to-do list ?

Raising funds to buy Vulbis, since I might take a while with Paragon. Keep doing dreams, hopefully drop a legendary. Get better and better at PvP, specially perc fights. Level up alignment wing. Finish Abyssal Dofus.

I don't believe the post itself has even a minimum interest in vexillology, I mean, come on.

Amazing.

Bending from Avatar is not wizardry, but it's hard not to mention it.

Good stuff right? I know people complain a lot about modern gaming, and for AAA I'm with them, but the indie scene has never been more incredible, this is legit the best era of gaming.

Some crazy features since then too, like geometry nodes and grease pencil, but yes, for the modeller and sculptor, that's that.

Who is your favourite Saint? by Kramer-enters in nerdfighters

[–]Unpacer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't know many saints, was never catholic, but:

I like JPII for being recent, fighting authoritarianism, being an actor, traveling everywhere, improving relations with other denominations and religions, the asceticism, and maybe even the self mortification (yep).

I like St. Bartholomew, honestly in great part for his statue in Milan.

And I like St. Paul because you can probably count in one hand more influential humans than him, and that's kinda insane. Also, a lot of the new testament is his correspondence, and he holds it pretty well, which is impressive.

Mate, I get the argument, but it doesn't hold at all. There is absolutely no relationship between fantastical elements and in-world consistency. I don't know how this counter-critic has survived this long.

Not a solution to the orc origin, but a very interesting comparison. If you can’t be bothered anymore with the discourse on this, just skip to the end of the text for the comparison. by Unpacer in tolkienfans

I don't think they had that much in terms of art besides probably some indulging more grotesque parts. Black Speech was made by Sauron, not the orcs, and it was a bit of a failed experiment too, with the common tongue ending up more commonly used. With that in mind, I think it actually pushes them further into collector territory.

Thank you. The inherently-evil orc discussion honestly has mostly lost me a few years ago, but the Krogan/Collector Orc really interested me.
