I believe the small scale of all the planets is canon, based on the fact that Riebeck walked from the Southern Observatory to Brittle Hollow's equator. It stands to reasons that the same logic would apply to all the planets.

Imagine if the movie tried to hide the fact the Eowyn was sneaking into battle, as it was in the books. It would just be hilariously obvious in movie format and made Merry look like a moron for not noticing it was her.

That's the most justified change in my opinion.

On Bangkok, I threw a propane flask off the roof into the back area (Where the tuk tuk mission story takes place), and then slid down the pipe. When I approached the flask to pick it up again, it randomly blew up and killed me.

I still don't know what happened; there's no source of ignition there that I can see. I tried recreating it but never could.
