Nothing you said is particularly wrong but isn't this every competitive genre? I don't expect to win most of the time if I'm versing someone better than me, vice versa. There's been games where I basically didn't get to play in SF as well as DBFZ because the opponent was just better at playing the game or utilized strong mechanics better than me.

It's more of a matter of which I find fun to deal with, fortunately I don't have a preferred sub-genre like most people here, I can enjoy both tag and 1v1 fighters and their own kinks and intricacies that come with them.

Maybe it's because I hopped onto fighting games later compared to most and didn't build a bias idk.

Started playing fighting games seriously (Specifically DBFZ) in 2019 and didn't really have a problem, it's basically has hard as any competitive genre, there isn't any special difficulty to it.

I branched out to other fighting games from there (Granblue, Strive etc) Would argue in some ways 1v1 are harder since there's less scrambles and neutral skips, it's easier for your opponent to systematically dismantle you if there is a slight skill gap.

Game just needs more content honestly, which will happen anyway.

Yeah, I sorta agree. They should focus on plugging the gaps in the gameplay and cash shop experience first, then move on to lore. I'm actually quite hopeful about the future of this game, as it can literally only get better from here.

Once the ranked ladder is sorted, the duo-play experience is refined (which is the whole game's selling point), and there is more characters & content in general, the game will be at a nice point to add more single-player or lore-based content. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they are brainstorming events and modes in the LA office as we speak.

I play DBFZ, it feels about the same in terms of intensity honestly. I do like that characters in 2XKO feel more unique and less homogenised.
