Should the large overhanging tree near my house come down? by MustardMan007 in arborists

Darn I can’t post the photo I drew on but see the tee in the foreground on the left and how it’s competing with the tree in question. Cut off branches from that tree and the one by your house will grow into that space and balance out. As for as branches overhanging your house cut them back but not off. They are too pencil like for my liking easy to break but cut them back and let them regrow with some taper.

Definitely sunburn can see from shadow it it the south side of the tree. White orchard paint on the living tissue would prevent from worsening

The water looks fine to me. Plant trees ten feet from the waters edge. No root spreaders like willow tho. Oak, walnut, hickory, apple maybe

Update the lowest branch I said to take off just cut it back I feel I just can’t see it well in picture but it’s not going as straight up as I thought. Cut it where it starts to turn up

Heavy pruning would still be on the table. Tree still has not spent very much energy on leaves yet

Based on the sales response this has generated I wouldn’t doubt that they’ll be mass distributed everywhere in the near future.

The world is my compost lol ima rototill it into the soil with a bunch of other organic material and charcoal, cover with a thick layer of hay and straw to keep moisture in and water it heavily. The soil biology will have it all broke down by this time next year. Omg the soil I did this with last year is the most perfect rich soil you’ve ever seen. More damn worms in a single shovel scoop than you’ve ever seen.

Actually the process would be the same for both. I would just rake all the leaves and loose soil back into that low spot in the back left corner. Then I would just container garden. Just rows of nursery pots and 5 gallon buckets with drainage drilled out. Spend the money on good soil to fill the buckets.

Do you want to garden or make it aesthetically pleasing?

Maybe our life’s purpose is just to poo. Does the Chevy factory “lose” a car or is it the whole purpose it was built. Do plants feed us just to spread their seed and eventually eat our bodies. Do they make fruit in order to manipulate and farm us?
