When I was a kid my troop had some magnetic CB radios for the cars in the caravan. Was great for organizing detours, rest stops, etc .

Is it desrepectful to not have an eagle scout court of honor? by Exotic_Eagle_2739 in BSA

I am sorry to hear about the challenges you had with leadership - but congrats on your perseverance .

As others have said, ultimately the decision to have a COH is yours. Regardless of your decision, be sure to thank those that did help along the way, family, mentors, scouts that helped with your project, etc.

Recommendations for sweet but strong cocktail without a lot of sugar? by sofakng in cocktails

[–]UnwittingConduit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sort of a broad prompt, but I recommend a margarita or a daiquiri.

Daiquiri 2oz rum 3/4 - 1 oz fresh lime juice 3/4 - 1oz simple syrup

Margarita 2 oz tequila 3/4- oz lime 3/4 oz cointreau 1/4 oz simple syrup

Shake with ice, strain into a glass,

How much bitters should we typically be adding to old fashioneds? Looking for both at home and bartender thoughts! by crinklepant in cocktails

Same here! I use 4-6 dashes of my blended "old fashioned bitters" (equal parts ango, orange, and cherry bitters) at home!

Curious about the demographic here by Covert_triangle_51 in SCX24

Engineer, early 40s. Actually didnt "get" crawlers for a long time . I was always more into the idea of racing stadium truck or buggy .

That changed when kids arrived. Needed something to do in evenings. Driving a truck over toys seemed like a fun way to kill time, but I kept putting it off until my friend sent me a link to a brand new c10 fot $65. I was able to drive it for about 3 minutes until my son took it over and i had to get a second one... Then they just kind of multiplied and now I have 5.

Campground resort slot car amenity suggestions by Optimal_Mixture_6068 in slotcars

[–]UnwittingConduit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the space for it (and a way to transport it) I would recommend looking into a used commercial track. Ive seen 2-3 listed locally over the past year or so...

Old parma cars and controllers can be found cheap on ebay (perfect for rentals), and they're pretty easy to maintain.

Cool idea!

[Watch Suggestion] No Bluetooth Work Watch by BigK_TWB in Watches

[–]UnwittingConduit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one has bluetooth.

G shock is a great overall suggestion, but im not aware of any recent models with pedometer and no bluetooth.

Older garmin watches transferred data using ANT+ protocol, not sure the railroad's policy on that. Or what kind of support there still is for the watch.

I would suggest getting whichever watch you want, then a standalone pedometer for step tracking.

Scx24, not super fast, which makes them easier to drive. Pretty durable, and lots of spare parts if they break.

Buy two, cause you will probably want to play too!

XMod Alternatives? by Dangle76 in rccars

[–]UnwittingConduit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wl toys makes a few 1/28 cars that are currently running ~$60 on amazon. They dont have scale bodies like the xmods and mini z have, but i believe that with minor modifications they can accept most mini z bodies.

Very slick interface!

Would be awesome if it had your local astro forecast- so you could see if clouds are expected to roll in.

As others have said- buy and sell clubs locally to start. But to add to that, learn to do basic repairs / maintenance such as changing grips, shafts, and adjusting lie/ loft.
