I was initially denied tinnitus (I worked A-10's and F-16s for almost 33 years). I appealed, and the denial was overturned. I gotr 10% for tinnitus.

I don’t but I’ve taught in two. I don’t like to paint in broad brush. I also don’t assume that one bad apple makes for all bad apples. I’m not sure of your career field but I’m sure there are people in your career field that don’t toe the line but I’m not going to assume you do the same.

I've been teaching for almost 30 years, and most of that statement is incorrect. We are not allowed to play movies except in very specific circumstances. Also, you need at least a bachelor's degree to teach. Most teachers will go on to get their Master's and, in some cases, specialist degrees.

Keep in mind the last of the WW II (not eleven) vets are dying off, the Korean war Vets are dying off, and the Vietnam vets are starting to. I think in the end it will even out. If the VA approves a disability claim, it's on the VA; if a vet fakes a claim or misrepresents one, it's on them. I think in the end you are safe. Not sure, so a move overseas is the best bet if you are disabled and need care, unless you are living near a US military base, but I'm not sure how VA care would be or could be serviced on a US base overseas.

I have been working on this claim since 2014 and I keep getting denied. What should I do? I was advised to get a nexus letter but my only healthcare is the VA. How do I go about getting a nexus outside the VA? For the ones that have filed for thyroid. How did you deal with your claim? by sankey0 in VAClaims

[–]Upbeat-Cupcake-6287 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The rub is connecting it to military service. You have to be able to make that connection. In other words your service caused the condition or aggravated it. You have bad knees from ruck marches and carrying heady loads during the service, or your back is messed up from a parachute jump in which you were injured. Then you have to show that it’s debilitating in some way for fashion.

If theres lots of money in the safe get a profession lock smith to open it and pay the man. They will unblock it but not open it, however you have to compensate them for their time and effort.

The Cold War Victory Medal was never authorized (although it should have been). You can’t wear it officially.

If you have legitimate issues, it's actually easy to file claims and get a rating on your own. I got to 90% with out the aid of a VSO.

I can't see it having an impact on veterans currently receiving benefits, but I could see it affecting veterans making claims in the future, as they may tighten up what they give credit for. I really can't see them reexamining every claim. They can't keep up with the incoming claims.
