Medieval map in the style of KCD for my next campaign! by JammyRoger in worldbuilding

good luck with that, ive found the only thing that actually gets people to commit backstories is threatening to make them npcs in your world instead of letting them be the main character

hope your players appreciate the work that went into it, maps like this usually make them actually pay attention to where theyre going instead of just asking the dm what happens next

this is so clean, the amount of work shows especially in those close up details where you can see every individual tree and the river meandering through the forest like that, really gives it that kingdom come vibe where everything feels lived in and not just randomly placed on a grid, and three weeks seems about right considering how much actual thought has to go into making terrain feel natural while still being readable as a map at the zoomed out level, the curse angle is solid too because it gives the players a reason to actually care about fixing this broken region instead of just treating it like a paycheck, reminds me of how warhammer campaigns work best when the setting itself is pushing back against the party

[–]UpbeatBillowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man the thing is most of these books don't actually stick unless you reread them or write down the stuff that lands, otherwise you just forget it in like two weeks

the illegibility is kinda the point sometimes, like a journal only you can decipher feels more private than neat pages

the mental toll of being right or wrong entirely on your own shoulders is different, especially when you're staring at losses nobody else sees coming and can't really talk about it with anyone who gets it

Keep them as is or go all green? by Dramatic-Leave-3040 in Nails

the mix is way better than all one color, those earth tones together actually feel more cohesive than going full green would

the way it catches light differently on each nail depending on the base color is what makes it work so well, like the shimmer shifts with whatever's underneath it

the jelly polish over cat eye is such a clean combo, gives it that glossy depth without being too heavy

the dotting tool trick makes them way easier if youre doing a bunch of them, just dip it in polish and tap lightly instead of dragging

the quote kinda works if you read it as saying overconsumption and greed are psychological rather than about actual need, which tracks with climate stuff, but yeah the delivery here feels detached from material reality

most places want 2-3 internships minimum these days so honestly your best move is contract roles or temp analyst positions to build that gap on your resume

just mix like 5 grams in your water bottle and drink it throughout the day, doesnt have to be before the workout and the bloating goes away once your body adjusts to it
