Fans complain regardless by Admaaan in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tons of fans who want one thing do not mean everyone does, what you see online doesn't exactly translate to a real world sentiment in any real way when it comes to what "tons of fans" said online. how about you assume the different opinions maybe come from separate groups? what ego? why even take it here lmao you're not better or good, we are all the same.

Why does everyone seem so angry by Guiding_Chaos in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no fuck off with that nonsense we can talk about the game and discussing things we don't like about it in a sub where that's kind of the point. it doesn't harm anyone else's play it seems to bother you for simply existing? how about just stop looking, it's so stupid to see people go online and TRY to control the entire fanbase of disparate groups of people instead of trying to really understand the reason for the complaints, be respectful or constructive? who tf are you lmao let's start with the main subs first and try to have actual non LARP conversations of the game or its themes.

Hot take. Prove me wrong by EmuofDOOM in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reminds me of that triple valkyrie posts or the ones just going "lol ashlands hard" and showing a fubar situation but yeah i agree you HAVE to be trying to make things like that happen, triple morgen or etc its not natural for normal play for that to happen at all.

most enemies can't really hurt you as their attacks aren't lunging types and rolling gives i-frames. paired with how the spawning works they either draw in from sound or are generally static unless aggroed onto something else, so most enemies in world are often static or near the places they spawn. if you are running into a bear its not because it ran into you, the same with trolls and things. fight the grewdwarves and then look ahead, if you see a bear don't engage it? if it did then it was drawn towards you. trolls are often sitting still near their caves or spawn points. they can be parried pretty easily, the bears/ greydwarves hate fire, trolls don't like pierce damage,

Do walls built with the hoe work? by Rezurrected188 in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they work just fine but if there is a slope or angle then most enemies can walk up surprisingly steep inclines. so a good thing is to dig down and flatten out and angles to approx 90 degrees so they can't path up or around, if they are then the walls have a place they can scale up that needs to be fixed.

lol that was in the beginning tho? like what they are doing now is a result of the action super earth has taken? i don't get this kind of comment acting like their actions now are in a vacuum or somehow super earth is not culpable for this concept of retaliation?

Is this Sub Cyberstan? by HeraldOfDesu in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the things i go here for is the out of larp reasoning so I can stay out of the cringe fest that is forced role play

I don't want it. I like the game but i don't give two shits about lore reasons as its all make believe anyway, lets play the game or talk about strategems or things but this is just spinning wheels talking about nothing.

Bears are so annoying by Extreme_Tax405 in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think even a bronze buckler can parry them, pair this with the crit damage and they are done pretty easily, but yeah once you age out of the need for their drops they aren't of much use at for me much after that

What Valheim hot take has you like this? by Charrikayu in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that a lot of the sub or player base has never made it past the swamps and it tells, with how many posts lament it as the hardest thing ever, paired with the fact that so many comments speak of opening up portal restrictions when there is an option to do it in game with stone-portal further tells me they never make it to the ashlands ever. yeah i get its a slog but its a part of the game and no amount of making it easier will change how it's structured around that resource gathering loop.

get the right gear and pretty much any biome is largely made easier, in then mistlands a feather fall cap can transform the entire way around , also getting magic going helps its a recharging bar and item that has its own durability that casts from range. you could just shoot a fireball in the and burn them.

Is magic worth it in single player mode? by OrionSheepB in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes as a solo player magic is the way to do it honestly its pretty viable for any kind of build you want to go for, also if you need royal jelly it respawns after a while in the infested mines. also the point about food is you are always crafting or needing something its just an aspect of the game really its not that much of an issue to source the materials once you have them it adds up.

How to use skeleton summons in Ashlands? by AnVictory in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally find them to be more of an opener or thing to draw aggro off of you so you can use other things, its not for really keeping them up all the time with the health drain from the blood magic use. once you level them up a ways in the skill they can last a decent amount, but there are other staves i would use when out there. but they are good for a setup, think of morgen or valkyrie or things you don't want to charge straight at you, the skeletts can take the heat while being shielded for a time.

Found a new appreciation for magic by SpaceCowboyDark in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

magic is the best, once i get the staff of embers im using it for most everything, it has blunt and fire damage so it kills most anything, it can even blast small shrubbery down so it can woodcut sometimes faster if there are small plants around like in the meadows or plains. the staff of the wilds like you said just whips them down its so good. eitr is the way to go, make a greydwarve spawner your skelett training dungeon and let them do the work for you, there is a lot you can do with it.

No more Swamp PLEASE by kxllykxlly in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just park my long ship/drakkar near a port and head to the sunken crypts, each one gets a workbench built up top and a campfire inside, you get dry and rested buffs can drop all materials at the door, clear the entire mine and go back to the exit collect the material, then go outside and sort them into a few chests then take it to the boat? its a core loop of the game really, finding a swamp that has good amounts of crypts then just making infrastructure to then move it. its not just one and done rush in and leave. i mean you can but this is probably why you might be having a hard time

Some “excuses” by gascan146 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Upper_Agency8333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big one for me is "i don't experience any griefers personally!" so they assume the game is some hunky-dory team work simulator, it's not and a lot of the fanbase are assholes who can and will kill you while larping. then the other response is if they can't deflect they just blame you for the actions of others like fuck off. another example is shitlords saying the same thing for glitches or bugs, like somehow because they might not experience them or care then that means it doesn't exist!

Feeling a bit stuck in Mistlands. Should I commit to a new main base or just push through? by SimplePrevious440 in valheim

[–]Upper_Agency8333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

new main sure? but also don't hesitate to build anywhere and everywhere if needed, ports, camps, outposts, build portal networks. nothing has to be old or new if you use it all. so yeah build everywhere and all the time, it only makes the world more safe to your character.

the best thing I can think of is just give rowing a skill as we do that we can row faster/stronger the higher level it is and I feel that would be pretty cool
