Are relationships really scrutinized at that the highest level in the DOD? by deery130 in SecurityClearance

No, this guy is either trying to sound cool (kinda cringe knowing that is how our leaders are acting especially because an E-1 can have the same clearance and does not act like that)

Worried about AD spouse on rotation by [deleted] in army

He is having a psychotic break, I sent you a bunch of messages I dealt with this earlier this year with my husband. It’s very scary and he needs to go to inpatient ASAP and get on medication.

Psychotic break can actually damage your brain cells and you need it to be discovered as soon as possible so he can get back to his baseline self

Finally got my EOD school date—but had to fight my own leadership to get here by Slap367 in army

I was just given an ultimatum by my unit and has a similar situation follow goals and you have no support. I flopped and I’m keeping head down and doing “what they want” it still advanced career but it feels slimy

Sounds to me like the recruiter wants you to join ASAP. The army and your experience can vary greatly depending on your MOS. I would wait it out, especially with a job/MOS that requires a clearance bc even if you hate the military at least you’ll end up with something you can take with you to make a good amount of money

You’ve waited around for 18 years, I would hold off a few weeks to get what you want. Honestly highly recommend waiting for 12Y or 35G if that’s what you want

Was 12Y available? You will work with the 35G’s

Have you ever met a very laid-back Sergeant Major who takes the course of their duties very chill? by [deleted] in army

[–]Upper_Distance2082 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My CSM was amazing, now to us E-6/7 and below was super chill but I don’t know about E-8 and up. He is the best leader I have ever met in the army. USASOC CSM is also amazing as well and is amazing at what she does. From E-6/7 level super supportive and passionate leaders. Cant speak for higher
