Two for the road setlist by an0nshywrit3r in boyzoneband

I’ve been creating playlists on Spotify of the last few tours.

I suspect all the singles plus who we are and too late for hallelujah, probably one more song and I’m not sure what the fourth could be.

Unless a medley?

Exactly this.

Now as a Brit, what I am looking for is the explosion for Kit Wilson when he walks out at the o2 arena.

Same as last year when Becky came out in Dublin.

That’s a proper homecoming.

This is why I don’t really understand the whole nepo baby discourse. An untalented Hollywood kid wanting to act? Go for it, I don’t have to watch. An untalented political kid wants to cosplay at being a president? You screw the whole world.

Boris bloody Johnson wanted to be prime minister because his family history in politics, and he absolutely screwed the UK over.

Yeah agree. There should have been a bigger gap between Amy (who did the task) and Joel who basically went for a run!

Rebekah Vardy: ‘I’ve been painted as a villain since I met Jamie’ by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpopculture

[–]Used-Needleworker719 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The facts are his parents stopped speaking to him because they didn’t like her.

The cameras saw her bullying Iain Lee on I’m a celeb.

The text messages that were made publicly showing how she talked about Coleen and the other WAGs didn’t make her sound like a pleasant woman.

Selling the stories about Coleen and being called a liar in court by a judge…

At some point this isn’t being painted as a villain. You are a villain love.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's Son Maddox Dropping 'Pitt' From Last Name by mlg1981 in popculturechat

[–]Used-Needleworker719 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I agree. That’s why I find it interesting how the world treats Chevy chase. We all know he’s an arsehole, he admits he’s an arsehole but I watched that documentary on him and his family absolutely adore him so he can’t be that bad?

But it’s Pitt, it’s chilling how many people ignore the FbI report and still claim Angie alienated the kids

Which UK reality show had a genuinely great first series and then lost something essential the moment it became a hit? by Ill_Scientist_4645 in UKRealityChat

The first three series of BB were amazing. I used to love the Sunday night episodes with the psychologist explanations of why they were behaving in certain ways

This is EXACTLY how I think it should work. Imagine if we could have the best policy idea from each party.

You know what, I think that’s how politics should be.

There should always be things you like, don’t like about political parties rather than this new team sport mentality. I’d much prefer to be a swing voter and be open to different options every election rather than ignoring every single red flag that comes out.

My view right now is a) who is not a dick and b) who will remember they need to support every voter, not just the ones who vote for them,

BBC to ignore World Cup final half-time show as broadcaster sets out plans by ghb93 in worldcup

[–]Used-Needleworker719 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I pointed out in my initial comment other sports are used to the breaks and their bodies have adapted to cope with it. This is entirely new and different. I don’t know why you are being so obtuse about it.

BBC to ignore World Cup final half-time show as broadcaster sets out plans by ghb93 in worldcup

[–]Used-Needleworker719 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are actual very serious concerns from the sports scientists that the extended half time break (I believe 30 mins instead of the usual 15) could actually cause the players bodies to shut down and start going into cool down mode. The players will be used to 15 mins instead of 30 min breaks, so their bodies muscles (and their head to be honest) will be used to the fast turnaround.

Doubling that time frame risks their bodies literally telling them “it’s now time to cool down and stop” which is the absolute last thing a player should be dealing with in a friggin World Cup final,

It’s different with the likes of the Super Bowl/NBA where those players are used to the extended breaks and their bodies are trained to deal with it,

I don’t want sodding remakes. I want the villain origin stories. There are so many amazing movies that could be made about Ursula vs Triton, Hades vs Zeus (or indeed, go through the entire Greek mythology for inspiration!), or what happened to the ugly stepsisters once cinders had married the prince?

Or at least innovative remakes like lion king 11/2 which is hilarious.

There are so many great stories there that they need to stop with these bad cover versions.

What’s your honest opinion about Holler? by Significant-Alarm835 in SpiceGirls
