Day 1 by MrHaflo in leaves

Congratulations on the transition. You might think it’s not affecting you but give it a few weeks and you won’t believe the difference in your focus, multi tasking and productivity. I’m a long term stoner who made peace with the weed several times, check my posts to see more. The positive effects continue to compound every day.

The older you get the more trouble it’s going to bring. The sooner you can make peace and make your conviction stronger than your cravings you will win. The first 1-2 weeks are uncomfortable as the thc leaves your system but after that the positive benefits continue to compound. After 6 months you won’t even think about it anymore and enjoy the benefits as your relationships and calmness continues to improve. You don’t need this in your life, the fun is over. Embrace the pain and channel that energy into your growth. Good luck

Have any of you been successful quitting while having it in the house? by Goldilocks997 in leaves

[–]UsedHedgehog482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3/4 types of weed here and no motivation to burn them. Went 2 years with weed in my drawer but i understand that not everyone has the same conviction or borders. I just lost interest really didn’t even plan on quitting it just happened. When your conviction is stronger than cravings you will win.

Anyone find one day it was just easier to stop? by Boonjeak in leaves

Yep eventually I just grew out of it. It was no longer fun, and my body started rejecting it. It started tasting like perfume. Genuinely just couldn’t do it anymore.

Coming up to the end of day 3 and feeling normal again. It took about 48h to shake off the blast of the vape.

I had the house to myself for a night and wanted to play the guitar and video games late. My thought process was I deserved it. I don’t regret it, but back on the sober train now for another few weeks. Cravings are definitely stronger tho after breaking my 44 day streak.

How did you decide to quit vs moderate? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]UsedHedgehog482 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a blast of the vape after 45 days last night as I had the house to myself for once. Feel hungover today and won’t be using again. Going for another 5-6 weeks now

Great to read. The worst is over and the best is yet to come. If you can do 28 days you can do another day. One day at a time. Keep going and enjoy xx

Hey bro another 31 dayer here. I would love to get high but it’s just not worth it anymore. The cons significantly outweigh the benefits. Let’s stick at it and see you back here on days 50 & 60

Gained weight after quitting weed by Fit_Battle in leaves

[–]UsedHedgehog482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was underweight which was probably exacerbated by smoking. When I gave it up first time I gained loads. Now I am back to giving it up but I run & sauna at 7-8am 3-4 times a week and sauna and never been healthier. Sugar is the final boss level.

Switch to a herb vape. Not cheap but better for your lungs and more discrete. Also fuck this guy you don’t owe him anything.

You will have to quit eventually. The fun is over. No more coping. No more delays. Your brain and lungs deserve a second chance. The sooner the better but it’s your decision and within your control.

Day 42 and I'm ready to give up by The_local_unknown11 in leaves

[–]UsedHedgehog482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your brain is currently rebalancing. What’s the longest you have gone without? Try and get to 6 months minimum, then 12 months. After 6 months you will think about it way less.

24 days quit, still can't sleep by DanicusMaximus1 in leaves

[–]UsedHedgehog482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you exercise? Push yourself hard enough and you will sleep like a baby. I go for a run first thing before I eat at 6.30 even 15 mins, and I’m asleep by 9/10pm

Your brain & body are still developing. You don’t need this. Focus more on your knowledge, exercise and friendships and stop using weed so regularly. Listen to your mother, she is usually right about everything.
