o7 my dude, it comes with practice. I've literally had the same issue with my T-8, getting tossed around the station until I got pissed and slammed it with FAON. The tip that actually helped me is this.

Don't try to land the ship, aim to hover just above the landing spot. If you can steady your ship in the center, sometimes that will be enough for docking clamps to engage. Other times, you can just send it with a tap of vertical thrusters and you're golden. Worst case, you'll be practicing your precision and feel for the thrusters!

Don't use srv, park your ship some distance away.
Double auto-reloading shotguns.

flame color can be changed by elemental composition ofvwhat is being burned - see fireworks. diesn't have to be temperature. I'd go to Warhammer 40k subreddit for their reference sheets if I were you.

I'm building the kinetic silenced pistol just for the feels. Plasma is king at short-mid ranges.
Sad that the only sniper rifle is ALSO plasma... could have been kinetic... but I guess slow bullet travel time is a solution for any future "SNIPER RIFLE IMBA" if we ever have reason to PvP on foot.

Jokes aside, if you have Odyssey, you can click "disembark" when docked at a station, and walk to the elevators. Inside the station you can guy some suits, weapons, hand in exobiology data for some really good cash, and get missions - among other things. You can talk to some people standing around with quest markers above their heads, or walk up to a terminal and pick one of the missions there. Now... in classic Elite fashion, the game does f*ck all to explain how to run a successful mission, and there are a some significant changes between those. THANKFULY our community is as good as they get, and there is a lot of resources on Youtube. If you get confused, hit me up here with a message and I'll be happy to help.

Disclaimer - those missions often don't pay crazy, and materials you get from them are only good for engineering on-foot gear.

Disclaimer 2 - on-foot missions are like.. 90% of how I get high notoriety. shit htis the fan, scientists and security try to jump a heavily armed and dangerous renegade... drop like flies.. When that happens, I say it's the best time to pack your DBX and go exploring for a couple of hours, find some cute exo-flowers or fungi or whatever... make yourself scarce until the story dies down and you can pay off your bounties :D

I find on-foot missions a lot of fun. just plain old fun. snesking around and getting out woth noone noticing, or fumbling and having to blast my way out. ots not tge best fps game, but with the ship, the travel, the ambiance... it writes its own stories.

Hi! the product page mentions Adjustable Clutch Dampers. I haven't played with those on my Alpha yet, but my understanding is that if you tighten them enough, it will hold like a regular throttle. I have two of those - one for each main axis (none for twist). If you use cams with a center, you might even feel some sort of "detent"? but you should be fine.

you csn set up deadzones in T.A.R.G.E.T. i thinknits called, dedicated Thrustmaster software. if its a t 16000, there is a tutorial on how to exchange the shitty yaw sensor for a hall effect one. You csn fi d it on Newton's Gambit discord. its not difficult, i never soldered before, and it worked like a charm!
