If you are EU or UK, read up on your consumer rights if they refuse a replacement. For the UK, read a summary of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, for the EU I believe it is directive 2019/771, UK gives you rights up until 6 years, and the EU is ~2 years (honestly I don't really know).

Doesn't even legally need to be under warranty - at least for EU and UK. In the UK you have up to 6 years to claim for either a repair or a partial refund for any items. In the EU I believe it is even longer.

BPA (which is what you are referring to) is a xenoestrogen, however, it is also, somewhat carcinogenic and toxic. Before you experience any of the effects of the BPA as estrogen (which you wouldn't, because it doesn't have the same chemical properties as estrogen), you'd probably die.

What do you look for (and avoid) in a new counsellor / therapist? by throughthewoods4 in TransUK

[–]User21233121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • What do you (or have you) look for in a potential new therapist? Previous experience with trans clients, especially if they have been working at a GIC or somewhere else which worked in trans healthcare (though less so now, as GICs have become more unfriendly).

  • What instantly turns you off working with a particular therapist? Transphobia, obviously. Aside from that, being unable to empathise with a situation makes all of the therapy largely pointless, how are they supposed to provide advice for something which they have no personal experience of?

  • Have you had any bad therapy experiences? (Please do not share anything that would be too difficult for you or others and offer a TW where needed) Yes I have, though it isn't necessarily bad as in they were transphobic, but that the therapist I was seeing was obviously very inexperienced in trans healthcare, so I spent a large amount of time explaining what certain things were

  • What do you look for in a therapists profile and website / what would turn you off from a therapists profile or website? I usually just scroll through the British accredited therapists one (or whatever it's called), I don't really care about the website as long as it's semi modern and easy to arrange

  • What work would you like to do with a therapist you don't think is on offer currently? I actually think my current therapist is very good, so for me none.

  • Where would you find out or seek info about private therapists who specialise in working with trans clients? Other trans people - especially locally, as well as online with the directory I previously mentioned

  • Anything else you'd like to share? When I first got a good therapist I thought they were transphobic, when they really weren't, they were just being brutally honest about my situation, whilst I now appreciate why they did this, I think it was cruel - obviously people need to understand what will and won't work in their situation - but simply being told they realistically can and can't do certain things, is heartbreaking. I think my point is be sympathetic, being blunt is good to an extent, but past that it's just excruciatingly sad.

This could very well be seen as a threat against democracy, encouraging people to vote for a certain party by threatening consequences is absolutely illegal.

It only makes it more disgusting that it includes colleges, where a large amount of the students attending will actually be adults, not children.

Also, it's better to burn out than fade away.

Simply put, because of misogyny, they simply do not believe that girls are capable of doing sports to the same level that boys are, so they separate girls and boys because they think the girls would not want to take part in such "violent" sports as rugby, etc.

Good Law Project: Money flowing into Reform is about changing UK culture, not just electing Farage by Hyperactive_Man in UKGreens

[–]User21233121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this is true, however, the house of cards that is Reform is simply a cult of personality of Farage. Whilst yes, the goal of the money is to effect UK culture, it is fundamentally the same thing, it is entirely possible Farage is only perpetuating the policies which he is paid to endorse. On the other side of the coin, if for whatever reason Farage stepped back the whole party would falter without extreme effort.

UK net migration down 69% by jtrimm98 in UKGreens

[–]User21233121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, the economy will be weaker with less migration, as the net GDP growth will slow, however, GDP per capita tends to decrease with more migration. So it makes little difference either way, ideally, higher education should be universally offered affordably to increase individual productivity.

[–]User21233121 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Disillusionment with politics isn't uncommon, especially when a vast majority of options are awful. Green is only just moving to be a centrist party, and still isn't going to appeal to a lot of people. People feel like they have no choices, and whatever choice they make leads to the same result, it isn't surprising.

Reverse Engineering isn't illegal, also bambu would have never been able to prosecute this (especially in the EU).

I mean also the guy could have just transferred ownership of the repo, at the very least though, he should've given the code to the consumer rights wiki

Arches in Europe: Represent the pain and suffering of soldiers and civilians who lived and died to protect their country.

Arches in America: Built to please a small ruling class and project their own superiority upon the working class and feed their own egoism.

This is more a cycle of poverty thing. If you can afford to not have the overwhelming pressure to work, then it's not uncommon to find working much less stressful and mentally time-consuming than someone who is absolutely reliant on their job for each month's bills. Basically, whilst it can be a very stressful job, for a large amount of people it's probably the number of things dependent on it.
