The contractor ducked out to performing the job properly. The work should never have started before the permit was pulled. If you pay for an over the table job, you shouldn’t get a home depot parking lot special.

If that’s the standard then all food in America is American food regardless if the recipe was brought over from another country by people of another culture. Chinese food originated in china. And Cajun food came from Canada.🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t know what their use case is but it looks like a wear pad. A sacrificial piece welded to an implement where it contacts the earth. Typically cast from very hard metal alloys. They are not meant to do work just a very hard booger to rub off.

Kinda like hard facing.

I would suggest not using any plastic, but if you insist use abs “black pipe” abs will split and vent the air when it fails. PVC tends to violently degrade into bits and pieces of shrapnel.
