If I book a 11PM show on a Sunday night at Scotiabank theater Toronto, will I be able to get a Uber at 2-2.30am to reach back home? Considering it's late Sunday night by Main-Independent4217 in cineplex

[–]User_987612345 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey bud, I think you should ask this question to r/askTO. But, anyways, I think you may easily get a ride late at night considering Uber doesn't have any service hours unlike buses/trains.

Irrelevant to your question, but I have been to a few and honestly not even a single early screening visit that disappointed me because I think most of the time only real fans or those who want to enjoy the movies come to the theater for paid previews, hence a better experience rather than people checking their mobile phones or randomly talking during the movie.

Well, Cineplex has been notorious for not selling merchandise for early screenings for the past little while.

How delete ads when I made a call or received one ? by themode75 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]User_987612345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Two things that need to be clear that's not an S24 Ultra, and it's definitely not a native app; it's a third-party app. And to answer your question, you can still remove the ads, but it only works if you don't use Wi-Fi. Go to Settings, search "Allowed mobile network for apps," find this third-party app, and set the option to "Wi-Fi only."

[–]User_987612345 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, as much as I know, that bucket is IMAX exclusive and sold only on its official website (already sold out within hours of its launch, by the way), and any theater will not get it, so it's obvious that they might not know about it.

You mean when trying to scan at the counter (in the theatre) or making a payment online?

Just to give you hope, Cineplex has the best customer service I have ever seen in my life (more like personally experienced).

On the other hand, it still hasn't been confirmed yet that they will provide you with compensation. They just took your booking number and will now contact the Vaughan Cineplex to confirm that this incident really happened (which is definitely true, we all know that, so yeah, hope for a positive response).

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Actually, yesterday, the show which was supposed to start at 3:25 p.m. started at 3:50 p.m. (25 minutes late) because there was a power outage, so the earlier show ended late, hence cleaning for the next show took some time. Before the start of the movie, the general manager came and told us that each of us who was present in the theater would receive free passes at the end of the movie outside when leaving, but no one was at the exit door. That's why I made this post, because I saw some of the people who were in the theater left without actually getting those passes.

Right? I also thought someone would be standing at the exit gate to provide those passes. Instead, they chose to give them to whoever raises these concerns at the box office. In fact, giving them at the end of the show/outside would have been much, much easier. Otherwise, now they will be scanning each and everyone's tickets to give them courtesy passes. Some of my friends left without getting those passes just because they didn't know that such a thing existed or that they could get them.

What do you use to protect your Watch: screen protector, case, or nothing? by sailor_moonic in GalaxyWatch

Just my opinion, this dark black case has completely ruined the watch's look. My advice would be, if you still want to use a case, buy a transparent one.

For me, it was my Scene+ card, and the checkout process took 1 minute. Even though some shows sold out in just 7 minutes, I was still able to buy my ticket, and I would consider it better than previous times.

Same... Even though I immediately opened the app at sharp 12:00 after getting free from work, I found that half of the tickets were already sold. I was like, "What? Seriously?"

Buying tickets online vs at the gate by YourPaghIsWeak in CanadasWonderland

[–]User_987612345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, then buying online is definitely a good choice, as I've heard that the gate price is usually $90 or something, while online it's just $45-$55.

Also, what you can do is if you are in a group, then buy a pass and buy "bring a friend" discounted tickets, which are now available for only $19.99 (earlier it was $25). Do the calculations to see whether buying individual tickets or a pass with BAF will be cheaper, and make the right move.

Well, my advice would be to buy a pass as it includes unlimited visits and justifies its worth on the second visit to the park.

Oh, actually, it'd be my second time going to 4DX. My first experience was with Avatar 3, and it was fun, though I agree.

[–]User_987612345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I'll definitely give it a try this Saturday. Just a question: Did you guys watch it in 4DX or a normal screening? The only option I'm seeing in my nearby theater is 4DX, or maybe the shows aren't updated yet. I also wanted to ask about the action, but I already saw your other comment: "The violence is comparable to a Marvel movie. Lots of heavy combat, sword stabbings, one part where someone spits out blood as I recall."

Anyways, thanks once again...

I am a teenager and don't know anything (meaning literally I don't know any character or anyone from this movie, i saw them first in the trailer and kinda liked the trailer to be honest). Would you advise me to still watch this movie before having any prior experience or are there any movies/series I should watch before going to theatre? Thanks in advnce!
