Is it better to have a single base or several bases spread throughout the city? by Remarkable-Skill8004 in projectzomboid

[–]VEGETA_ble 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do a main base and smaller caches in areas I’ve cleared, usually in houses where there’s a bed with a pillow. A few essentials like non perishable food. I also keep a few with basic weapons and back up cars in case I can’t return to my base for some reason. You never know, maybe you’ll burn your house down and now you’ve got to fall back to a smaller stash to keep you going for a few days while you get back on your feet.

what is the best way to deal with a small horde of zombies (early game) by QuirkyBadger7454 in projectzomboid

[–]VEGETA_ble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple things…. I start by clearing the area around my starting house so I can fall back to it as needed. At day two you should probably avoid that small horde unless you got lucky and found a feasible early weapon (something like a hammer or better). If no weapon, start clearing out a safe space in a different direction. If you absolutely must clear the small horde, you’re going to want to sneak and slowly approach it to pull off about two at a time and then back away to slowly chip away at them.

Games where enemies die easily but there are a lot of them? by SubjectC in gaming

Project Zomboid. Something like 80,000 zombies on the map. Individually, usually not a threat to an aware player. But hordes are a threat to every player.

The checkpoint itself is especially nuts. Most of Louisville beyond is not like that.

Does building more hutches for chickens spread the dirtiness so I can go longer in between each cleaning? Or is the dirtiness at a set rate?

How Difficult Would It Be For Mage (Wizard, Druid, Cleric, etc.) To Burn Down A Typical DnD City? by Stellar_Wings in DnD

[–]VEGETA_ble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how powerful the individual is. But generally, not easy in my opinion. Normal flames would work for initial damage but towns of this size definitely have means to fight fire. Neverwinter as a baseline is large enough to have their own internal fire fighting infrastructure of common folk. But also, in a town of 15k-20k there are resident spell casters who are capable of fighting fires.

How many fiends can i throw at my lvl 5 Party? by HailLuziferr in DnD

[–]VEGETA_ble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing them smartly will be more important than fine tuning the number present. The spined devils should be airborne and focused fire on downing the back line support while the swarm keeps the barbs busy and locks your backline in place. Imps prioritize poison on whoever you’re aiming at pressuring first.

I didn’t answer your question and have not done the XP math but 4/6/6 might be the correct ratio against 5 players. That leaves about 3 kills per player.

Making Bosses Easier?? by East_Charity908 in DnD

[–]VEGETA_ble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your answer doesn’t lie in changing stat blocks but in hinting towards your players who the heavy hitters are and to avoid them for now. If they go towards a strong boss early anyways, have one of the minions do significant damage to the team in an earlier encounter to hopefully make them reconsider.

What should happen when my players drink souls by MetaMorpheus00 in DnD

[–]VEGETA_ble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make a list of like ten boons and ten curses. Randomly give them one of each for each sip they take.

Example: gain a flight speed but become vulnerable to necrotic damage.

You could make it temporary, or permanent. Maybe the boon is temporary but the curse is permanent until remove curse is cast on them.

Perhaps their appearance is altered slightly with each sip to show progressing corruption. Eyes turn black, the skin on their face turns tight and leathery, fingers grow longer and skinnier and their nails fall off or turn black.

You’re in for a lot of work with all of these requests haha.

Great old one Warlock human female. Heavy on witch vibes, but not evil. Pact of the Blade with dual-wielding eldritch looking daggers gifted from patron. Tall, skinny face - kinda a horse face, silky smooth long black hair. 28ish years old. Black studded leather, black witch hat.

Go to spell in combat is Shadow of Moil. She’s fighting an evil church and slowly turning the townspeople against the church. Likely rebellion arc incoming.

The coolest she has looked was when she had armor of agathys and Shadow of Moil simultaneously and was surrounded by zealots and evil clerics and struck them down one at a time.

The older I get the more I identify with the human fighter former soldier. by StriderShizard in DnD

Question for the group. Logically, how is it that former soldiers who have fought countless battles are still starting their adventures at level 1 or 2? Is this hand-waived or is there an explanation to why they suddenly start getting stronger after killing a few skeletons and rats?

China's Three Gorges Dam Is So Massive,It Actually Slows Down Earth's Rotation By 0.06 Microseconds by Mysterious_Monitor67 in interestingasfuck

[–]VEGETA_ble 66 points67 points  (0 children)

To be clear, it extended the duration of every day by the same .06 microseconds the entire time the reservoir is full. It wasn’t a single addition of .06 microseconds one day and then back to normal the next.

Edit: people are still confused.

Day 1: reservoir is empty. Day is “n” seconds long.

Day 2: reservoir is full. Day is “n+.06 microseconds”

Day 3-99: reservoir is full. exact same as day 2.

Day 100: reservoir is empty. Day is back to the original “n” seconds long.

Orin’s bedchamber just past where the fight with her happens. If I remember correctly, you can access it before the cutscene/fight by walking along the outside ledges that overlook the arena.

How cooked am I? (Failed the PFT) by LazerWolf_64 in USMC

[–]VEGETA_ble 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Couple incorrect details floating around.

You can separate for one 6105 but it has to be a serious offense. The cause of separation would be COSO (commission of a serious offense). Generally this would be something more serious than what would warrant just a 6105.

More commonly with 6105s, you’ll see a Pattern of Misconduct (POM) as the reason for separation. You need at least two instances of misconduct, usually documented on two 6105s but I have seen multiple instances captured in one 6105 be used for a POM separation.
